Ordering my car questions..

So I have been in contact with a few dealers around New Jersey. Now they are all saying that the 2010 coupe will be in Jan/Feb of next year. They told me I could order what I wanted though.

So I have never ordered a car before. I assume you have to establish set price etc..

A few dumb but necessary questions for me to ask. Do I have to make any kind if monthly payment on the ordered car before it gets here? Do I have to put anything down on it? My plan is to lease the car and not put any money down. So how would that work? Would they give me the check back for the hold amount once the car arrives?

Thanks

1. You are not entitled to pay anything till you get the car.

2. The Dealer may ask you to put a deposit to "secure" the car

3. The residual on the 370z aren't that great, buying is the better option...

4. I dont understand what you mean mean by "hold amount", unless you are referring to hold amount. Depending on if its non-refundable or not, you could use it towards the Down payment or get the cash back.

Hope that helps.

they know the prices already.... they'll ask you to put a deposit down for the order
and when the vin comes... they'll ask you to come back and settle a deal

thats the thing though, i dont want to put down a down payment.

my plan is to lease a base model. put nothing down and get it for under $500 a month.

so if i have to give them a check to "secure" the order will they just give that back to me at closing.

You sound really "tongue in cheek"...can't take you seriously. You're the boy who cried wolf. You supposedly smashed a 370 a few months ago, and you're downgrading from the purported Porsche twin turbo you drive, etc.

The only wise thing you did was disappear for a while in the hopes that people would forget your silly anecdotes.

Secure the order with a deposit
When the car comes in you pay
Set a price before you put a deposit down, don't want any hidden fees popping up on you
The deposit will be deducted from the total purchase price
Leasing isn't great, NMAC is trying to correct their portfolio due to to many lease's

He's just trying to rattle ya'll, seriously. Best just to ignore him entirely and let his threads rot, like any other troll or juvenile parading their antics in front of you. The more he bumps them and slams people who don't respond as requested, the greater chance you'll finally get the :ban: you've been clamoring for.

edeeZee 09-11-2009 01:06 PM

^yep. I'm not rattled though.
