Default Good Deal?

I went in to get an estimate for a 2014 370z Touring w/ Sport and Nav. Originally had hoped for a Brilliant Silver but they only had a Gun Metallic so I guess I might have to go with that. But they offered me $575 a month for 48 months with 12K miles a year with 3K down. I want input, but if you're just going to say leasing is dumb, don't just say that, give me an reasonable explanation and what you paid for your financing.

Don't know about the lease terms but will say don't settle on the color. If your heart is set on silver get it or you'll have buyers remorse in the end and be stuck with a **** payment on top.

I practically have buyers remorse about the color and I haven't even bought it yet but I looked at every nissan dealership within 250 miles and nothing. They're really rare, there was one like 120 miles away but it was stick. I like the color but it might be a sacrifice that I have to make for it. Plus it's like another $800 to get from out of state.

I have an opposite explanation on why you can't find one: They're actually very popular, and get sold. I'd estimate that 80% of the 370Z's I see are silver.

But, still, get the color you want. (I don't know leasing, so maybe leasing is different; I bought mine so I definitely waited for the color and had them ship it from the boat.)

OP I don't want to derail your thread too much but I'll say this. I wanted a mag black with navi in 2011 and settled on a silver T/S without navi. Ended up hating myself for settling and couldn't wait to get rid of it. Love the Z as a whole however and ended up trading in on a 2014 mag black T/S with navi. Finally got what I wanted but with a shitty looking front bumper that I have to upgrade. In the end, it might be well worth 800 bucks to get what you want the first time around.

As a side note have you conferred with your insurance on what it will cost you when leasing? I've heard horror stories of outrageous insurance coverages ranging up to $3000 on a leased Z.

Since I'm under 25, falconfixer, my dad will cover me and I'll just pay him monthly for it. We have Allstate, I don't know all the details but its an additional $142 a month to cover the Z, I got in a MAJOR accident like 2 years ago that was 50% my fault so that's probably why its a little higher. There is also a speeding ticket that will be off my record in the next few weeks that might lower it a bit.

I called a dealership that said they had it online and they're 92 miles away from me, I worked with them and when the time of the deal comes, they said they would deliver it to the dealership for an additional $300, which is awesome.

Not bad, I'm 20 and I pay $1300 a year for my insurance for full coverage on my lease. For my lease on the Z its a 2014 GMG A7 15K miles per year. Was $308.91 per month, but I worked out a 1 time lease and paid $6700 for it for the 2 years so averaged to about $279.17 per month

Was it a base? That's seems really low, mines practically fully loaded and I sat there negotiating for almost 2 hours back and forth and I only got to $575 for 48 months with 3K down at 12k miles a year.

and thats below invoice, I believe $39,997 was invoice but its like $200 below that at the moment.

Most of the Z's I see are Pearl White and Black, the only reason I want a Silver is because of the color scheme my friend has on his Evo and I want to do the exact same on mine because it looks amazing.

Never talk monthly. Only price! Once you see what you're saving vs retail ask for interest rate then monthly.

My 13 is $409, 39mo, 12k yr, for a sport with splash guards, trunk mat, and carpet mats. Retail was $37,385 with destination. I paid $35,116 plus $1000 off for leasing and $1250 down. But I also had like $850 negative roll over. If you take out the down, negative and 1k off that payment would be $446.

The reason I said all that is because a 14 sport dropped like $3300 vs my 13! I know your touring/sport/nav is more than mine but $575 sounds like a huge rip off when the 14 is 3k cheaper than my 13 plus you're putting down 3k!! Id like to see the actually numbers.

Wow I've had cars come as far as 300 miles and waited for my Z to come from Japan, never have I paid shipping! $300 is again a rip off.

Yea, I might just drive up the dealership and drive it back and have a friend take the other car. But was yours with Touring+Nav?
