Enjoy your jeep until the bolts start rattling out and you will be soon realizing that trade in value hellatiuosly drops and poor build quality.
Dont ask me how I know this but I will let you make a good guess. Hate to say, and although you had issues with your Z, The jap vehicles are still better than americans in build quality, and longevity. As everyone else says. You traded and moved on.... Move on from here and enjoy your POS Jeep

While this thread seems to be going hostile on you, I will put in my 2 cents.
You got a great deal on your 370z trade in (dirty carfax, they will most likely have to sell at auction, no enthutiast will ever buy a Z with a dirty carfax unless its free or 10$) However.............. The price on the jeep is okay at best, but it does have 70k miles, when it hits 100k miles expect a pretty significant depreciation hit (psychologically, a car with 100k miles will have be a hard sell... unless its a rare ferrari or nsx) Overall I'd say the dealer still made money from you.. how much? hard to say, but usually dealers make most money on used cars, i'd say they low balled the original jeep owner pretty hard and made at least 20-30% flipping it to you, now they are going to flip the 370z for another good profit (at least 10-15%) remember... the house always wins - they are in it for the money, no manager will give away cash - they made money of this trade, only the dealer knows how much. I'd say they made at least 5-6k from this flip |

I did look at trade. The jeep has already lost about all of its value and hit it's floor until I reach 100k. Even jeeps 2-3 years older are only going for $2-3k less. Re: hostility here. Who cares? None of these people would give me grief in person and I don't care about their Internet antics any more than they should care about mine. I've read their billion page posts about bad transmissions and slamming into poles with vdc off and how their oil temps send them into limp mode after 2 laps. The people here whine and butch as much as I do. The only difference is that I am not a Z owner anymore, thankfully. But really, my friends dodge truck depreciated similar to the Z cars I see on auto trader. They don't hold their value any better than any other vehicle. I'm just in something I prefer. Not really worried about the haters who whine about my whining, lol |

The srt8 jeeps haul pretty good, it's one thing to go sub 5 secs in a small car like a 370, completely different animal doing 6-7 sec a few feet of the ground!
I'd pick up a jeep as a 2nd car if I ever needed an AWD all around good car, the hemi is pretty bulletproof from what I hear. |

My jeep is certainly not as quick as the srt8, but 0-60 sub 7 seconds and mid 15s in the 1/4 is plenty for an suv. The srt8 is pretty helpless when you need traction though. I chose the limited instead for that reason. Skidplates, more clearance, has locking diffs vs. Open, and the tires handle snow better than the summer tires on the srt8. Also, living 20 miles from work when I build, I will enjoy the 18-20 Mpg vs. 14-15. That, and the insurance and $5k price over the limited made me do what I did as I am going to probably take a $20 - 25k pay cut when I move and I want my vehicle to be 12% or less of my D:I ratio as I'm building a house in a year or two. |
