Well, now I am butthurt. My co-worker traded in her 2012 Dodge truck. It had about 5K less miles on it, and the tires were in better shape than my 370Z. She got around $26K for it, and they also came off of the price of the used vehicle (A GMC) that she got, by roughly the same amount they came off the vehicle I got. Her truck MSRP was $45K.

So basically, my Nissan had close enough to the same residual value as a Dodge pickup. Not exactly known for highest retained value.

You can argue about the wreck history on carfax all you want, but KBB (very generous) pegged my car at a trade-in of $24,XXX, and the carfax even said my car was worth a few hundred MORE than KBB even after the wrecks it listed, so go figure.

These 370's drop like a ROCK!

I blame this on Nissan's slashed price for '14.

I think that if I had bought a '14, stickering for $39K, set up just like my car, argued them down to about $36K, THEN I would have been happy with the value vs. performance. MEh. I digress. Nissan ate their own customer base with this move.

Dude, move on. You don't own the car anymore and you're just coming around here to troll at this point. Give it a rest for the love of god.

So a more expensive vehicle with less miles, good tires and no accidents was worth more in trade? What's the confusing part?

I'm interested in hearing about the customer service you receive when the Jeep breaks down. Though, that may not happen for a while, they are know for their dependability right?

Yep! Was hoping for more trade-in, though. I should have gotten out before the '14 pricing was announced, but who knew?

One interesting thing is that the Jeep feels like it settles faster in the corners. It doesn't corner as flat or as hard, but it settles faster. I found that very interesting.

Pretty much. I'm only going to respond via PM or if a mod asks. It just opens a huge can of works that's done. I'm not in it. I don't care.

Well, I had my first service appointment the other day. Routine stuff like spark plugs, etc. Yes, for some odd reason they chose to use a copper plug in the Hemi. 30K mile interval. Stupid, but cost of doing business I guess and having a 345ci motor that makes nearly 360hp and almost 400# tq, which really isn't shabby considering that the LS6 only makes 45hp more and 11# more tq.

Anyway, I digress.

The service went well, everyone was polite and friendly, the dealership was accommodating. Of course nothing was broken, etc. but I'm just saying, the service department was polite, for what that's worth. So was Nissan's, though, before the trouble began. I'd say it's a wash at this point.
