2009 370z pricing
Good morning, my brother and I were looking at a few used 370's. We found a 2009 370z auto with the sport package, it's the base. Nothing but the sport package on it. It has 26k miles and the dealer has it listed at 28k. If he goes in there and offers 20 is that too low? We also saw another 2009 this one is touring with the sport package and auto also. It has 58k miles on it. They're asking 22800, would it be a fair offer if he said 19k for it?

Check kbb and edmunds for a rough value est. I think I paid 8% below value on mine from dealer.

.. here they come... :ugh:
:wtf2: |
The one listed at the dealership has a value of 21k lol. That's why he wants to offer 20k.

Make whatever offer you want. The dealer accepts or says no. If no, make another offer and so on and so forth until you reach a mutually agreeable price.

I think the max you'll want to spend on an 09 is 24K (a fully loaded model) at retail price. Anything more than that is expensive. This is due to Nissan's decision to reduce sale price of all new Zs by $3K. For a 09 base sport with low mile, I wouldn't spend more than 22K. Remember it's a 5 years old car and you can get a brand new 2013/14 with full warranty for 31-32K, maybe less if you are good at negotiating and or lucky lol.

My brother offered them 20k for the base sport they replied and said good day lol. Even though its been sitting there since august.

28k for an 09, no wonder it's been sitting there since August, dealer is an idiot

I agree, $20k to $22k would be it for an 09' base with sport package. Is this dealership a major brand dealer, or a little used car dealer? I've noticed that a lot of smaller used car dealers will try to jack the price of something like a Z up a lot because they think they can shock and awe some high school / college kid who doesn't know any better into buying it.
There is a place down here near Orlando called Super Sport Auto that is famous for doing that. Deals mainly is cars he think high school kids would want. The guy used to have a 95' Toyota Supra with the base engine and automatic for about $17k. To the best of my knowledge that car is still sitting on his lot. |
Shingle Springs Subaru/Nissan. It's fairly big, they're crazy for asking 28k just cause it has 26k miles. My friend owns a small dealership, he does that all the time lol.

That touring , sport for 22 isn't bad. If everything else is good that seems like the one to negotiate . I don't think you will get to 19 since seems price is pretty fair already.
There is a nismo in my area for $26g with less than 20,000 mi |
Mine: 6K miles - 2012 Base w/sports @ $27.5K. Dealer owned so I'm technically the first owner
Too much for an old car |
