Dealer Says Not Ordering '09's
I am ready to buy a new 370Z and have searched all over SouCal for the car I want. The Nissan website is inaccurate regarding what are supposed to be on different dealer's lots. I want a Touring/Sport/6MT w/o Navigation in PG or MB color, the only thing I found is an MB demo with about 200 miles on it and the dealer plate screwed to the front bumper, both of which are deal killers. So I asked a dealer about ordering. He checked with his purchasing manager and said Nissan is no longer accepting orders for 2009 models, he would get an allocation of 2010's on September 10th and I could place an order for a 2010 model at that time. I guess I'll be in for a wait, but maybe they'll release some photos of the new 40th Anniv. graphite color before I place the order and I'll be glad I waited. Just a general observation, there seems to be a lot of cars out there with just the sport package, or with AT's and not the 6MT. I'll post more when I have more definitive information.

I tried ordering my car back at the end of June and was told that 09's were no longer able to be ordered. That was from 3 different dealers. Not sure if you checked over in the sub section regarding ordering/buying but if had you would have seen the dozens of posts regarding this issue. It's been known for the last month or so that they are only doing 2010 orders now. Just wait and be patient so you get what you want. Luckily I located the car I wanted (only 3 left in western region) so I didn't have to wait.

Not sure I'd want them putting a new one on painting it (Bout a $700 job), but I'd sure take a $3-$400 extra discount and buy one of Spawn's mythical Carbon fiber covers for that area..

Dwight,
I was having the same problem with crappy info on the nissan website and the dealer websites. I saw a message posted a few months ago by Lou Fusz about vehicle searches so I emailed him asking for some help. He sent me a list of 5 cars that were like I wanted. All of the information was accurate. I bought one from a dealer in Texas and drive it back to New Mexico. I don't know if his offer to help is still good but you can always ask. Here is a link to the original message. 370Z Dealer Search Service
