Interior Color??
My new 2014 Brilliant Silver 370Z Touring came in and it was supposed to be all black interior as my present one. It came in with light gray seats and arm-rests with the rest of the interior car being dark gray, almost black. Has anyone had the light gray seats/arm-rests.....and have they become "dirty" over time? Not sure about the color.
Thanks, rich |
Well at least your interior will be slightly cooler in the summer months. I wouldn't settle for anything less than black. I would think the grey would need a lot of attention paid to it after time goes on.

Hey Rich, demand a new car... You ordered black, you should get black
|
Or at least have them swap out the interior since thats what you originally wanted.
|
thanks everyone
Thanks for the thoughts everyone. Trips.....where did you move this thread?

In a hot climate, the grey will keep the car much cooler, but the lighter interiors dont seem to hold up well. We have seen some rough light grey interiors on low miles 2-3 year old Zs. In the end, it's really up to you and how you take care of it!

thank you
Thats exactly what I thought. Appreciate your comments.

I assume they can most likely just swap the seats.. Not to hard. You want black though.

just going to wait
Thanks everyone. I just told the dealership I would wait on a black interior, the light gray just doesn't excite me. Only problem, the 2014 BS Touring Auto with Sport Package there is none in the US according to the dealership who did a computer search. So the new one will come off the boat in December. Thankfully I own a 2011 Touring so I can still get my fix until then.

See if they'll swap seats. If they really want you as a customer, I don't see why they wouldn't |

i agree that that's prolly bull...i tried to order mine w/persimmon and they basically gave me all kinds of heartache re. "building your own"...i settled for black inside and mag. red out (wasn't originally going with the mag. red only seen in the showroom but so glad i did now, in the sunSHINE...)
anyhoo, one way around this: i ordered 2-tone sheepskin covers from 'drivingcomfort.com' and they are LUXURIOUS---very thick, soft and well fitted, and, expensive...butt, will give you comfort and protect your seats...and no, not a shill... |
I can run the search for you, just need to know if its stick or auto you want, and Nav or Sport or both!
|
Did you order the car from Nissan, or was it a car that they found somewhere else and had shipped to their dealership. The information on the car may have been, wrong saying it was black, when it was really gray. If you ordered it and they built it wrong then demand a new one.
It seems like those type of errors are frequent in their systems. I looked at two before I ordered mine and one said it was a sport package and turned out to be non-sport and the other was supposed to be a touring and it was just the base. Wouldn't be beyond them to have the interior colors wrong too. Good luck getting it sorted out though. |
Dang I would defiantly take it in that grey.
