I don't get your point though. Until a few days ago everything was fine and you did not know about the price break. Now you are in a bind, maybe you bought a car you could not afford in the first place. Nothing wrong with that, but saying I don't give a damn about the price difference is not correct. I am just saying I bought the car and spend as much as I thought it is worth it. Getting all tangled up now that the price is lower does not make sense. Yes I was OK with the price I paid, apparently you are not, so why did you buy it anyway?

I'll do one better, can I get a written agreement from those '13 owners that will not pursue a refund, and I'll call Nissan on their behalf asking for one, and once I get it, I collect all of it, or 90% of it.
I'll leave Minsu out because I've dealt with him a half decent amount (and I believe he's a good guy), and since his Z had a few thousand miles on it, I don't think corporate will do much on a kinda used car. |

I think my analogy of the TV is valid, and I'm wondering where you'd stand on that, or is this $4000 loss ok because cars don't have a traditional return policy? And if dealers are getting a refund, why aren't you? THAT doesn't piss you off?

Oh, OK so I am not a good person because I agreed to buy the car for the price I was OK with. I guess they twisted your arms on buying an overpriced car. Go ahead, I make it official:
You are officially allowed to get my refund if Nissan gives any, in the meantime I enjoy a car which I thought to pay an agreed and accepted price for. Maybe due to the fact that I am in manufacturing and sales business makes me see things a but different, but to each it's own I guess Sent via Tapatalk

No it does not piss me off, I am under the impression they only get a refund on the 2013 they have in stock after the price lowering and not on cars already sold.

And I am also in business and manufacturing and I KNOW that the market fluctuates and yeah, prices change and whatnot (A few years back we couldn't get stainless steel because China was buying all of it and as a company we lowered our profit margins and issued a statement to the customers stating that the price of our goods might and would go up because of the price of raw goods.) At this point I believe a refund is VERY likely for those who ask, same with the guys who fought the price on the steering lock before the recall and who got their money back. Same with the people I have personally helped get money back because their car sat in the shop because of a blown motor or some other reason. Yes, they can take the "shít happens" approach, that this is just what happens when you buy a car, but why not ask for a change? It can't really hurt. And again, NO BS, I am MORE than willing to call corporate as you, and if/when that refund comes in, you donate it to charity, or donate it to the troops.

If you're serious, I'd unfortunately need a bit of info...... Date purchased, dealer, vin, your full name and address. Yes sounds sketchy, but I think 50 forum members know where I live because I've sent something to them or they've sent something to me. And I hope I've got a BIT of forum backing that I can have people vouch for me that (at least I hope) I'm a good guy Alvitdk, if you're serious, shoot me a PM, or a text, I'm 100% on board to see if I can get some money that'll be given to a charity, and I really am 90% sure I can make it happen (31O)eight nine three-42O7

Guys, who actually paid msrp? Anyone? Didn't think so. How many of you 13 owners actually paid MORE then the new msrp? Chill out.
The new price mostly reflects the market price of the car anyway. I bought a 2012 base + sport msrp $36k paid $33k. Should I be pissed that they dropped the price to $33k? It's what I paid so no, I'm not. My guess is that no one is getting $3k below msrp on the 14's. Also I got 0% APR, I'm not sure if they are doing that for the 2014 The price was lowered partly because of the yen, and partly because they couldn't sell them at the price they wanted anyway. Notice that the higher priced models had no change at all, a touring model used to be the same price as a base+sport, now it's a $2k premium. Seriously $5k more than a base! The nismo is now $13k?!! over the base model! They know the demographics, those models appeal to those who are less price sensitive and the sporty models are priced for younger enthuists who are looking at FRS or mustang 5.0s. Be happy with what you have. Don't let today change the outlook you had yesterday. |

Ok, I am new to this form and have read the posts . I just paid to transfer a 2013 coupe w sport pkg with 9k miles off a lease to my home town for about $500. Price yesterday was 32k. Is this still a good deal ?

Yeah I do not want the sport because I want to change the rims regardless. Would not mind some of the other options if you could pick and chose. For example the brakes would be nice if I could pay just for that option. And I really would like the seats on the touring, but not for that premium. And I never wanted the Bose system because I want to upgrade. So it looks like I will get a base and do my own upgrades as I see fit.
