Just wondering how good of a deal is that? Im considering leasing too in the near future and he said he could prob bridge as the middle man if I stick with nissan products.

Anyone care to chime in and share how much their lease was?

$530/month for how many months? Is that rate for leasing or owning? What model?

Yep - a low monthly payment does not a good deal make. Not enough info to decide...

My own personal vehicle ('11 300C) was OTD $37k with a 2.9% APR and I pay $543 to own the vehicle with only $500 down. I got screwed on an APR on the previous car (9.5%) so I was tired of paying the interest. I always say to finance the vehicle unless you're so far under that you need the cheap payment on the lease to roll in and take the hit 3-4 years later.

Whats the Lease -End Value ? Term length? Mileage?

It's a lease. Touring with sport, auto, and nav. 36 month he said. 12k miles/yr

I think he got the car at dealers true invoice bc of his relationship with the owner

So, he's spending 19k over 3 years, with nothing to show for it at the end? What a deal. Never lease a car unless it's for business and you can write it off, or your company pays for it.

Wellll... At the end of the 3 years he goes and gets a new car while all of us are stuck with a car that's out of warranty

Thing is that I don't think the 370Z depreciates $19k in 3 years... Actually... Yeah, it kinda does... LOL

OP, if you pay the taxes up front you won't have to pay interest on it

The problem is that you never end up owning anything. That same 19k paid on a car note would have allowed some equity buildup. I guess if you're the type that absolutely has to drive a new car every three years, it makes more sense than buying since you'd basically only have paid the depreciation and interest on the note at that point. I guess I'm the weird one since I keep cars that I buy new 8-10 years.

Yeah problem is if he buys with nothing done on a typical 60 month loan the monthly payment would be pretty high even of he gets a good rate

Yeah, that's not how you're supposed to buy a car. Substantial down payment (15-20%) and a three year note. Maybe a four year note at max, but that's pushing it. If you need 5+ years on a note to be able to afford the payment, buy less car. Of course, no one does that.

The reason I wrote this thread is to compare the rates on leases. One thing I forgot to mention is they first offered him 590 per month. I just wanted to see what others are paying for their leases.

Yes I agree after 3 yrs you don't own anything, but don't forget the depreciation of our cars after 3 yrs and there is no warranty unless you buy extended.

I actually own my 2011 Z btw.

There's a couple threads on lease rates and what's a "good" deal, it's true you don't have to worry about depreciation or anything like that but it just seems like a lot to pay for a monthly car payment but again to each their own.
