Buying a Nismo

I currently own a base model 370z and I plan on trading it for a brand new white Nismo 370Z that is on its way from the factory. My question is there anything I should be aware of before buying.

Information about my current z:
It's completely stock, I have owed it since October of 2010 but I bought it used yes its a 2009, and I owe about $23,000, there's some small interior damage on the door, and it's been in two fender benders that involved just a repaint.

The Nismo
It's all white, at the price of $45,950 I talked them down to 40,000, but could I got lower? And what's too low? And now that nissan puts the Bose in the Nismo could I bargain that with them as well to be included for the $40k or less? Could I make them give me more for my car if I didn't like the trade price? And last if it help I plan on putting $5,000 as a down payment.

5k off a new Nismo is good just watch out that they don't lowball you on your car.

What are the miles on your current car?

Based on what you've told us, you'll get $18K to $19K on your trade-in. If you still owe $23K, the $5K you want to put down will pay off your lien. You'll owe full purchase price of $40K, which is a good price for a Nismo.

The dealer is going to get his money from your lending institution, so he doesn't really care how much you put down.

Bose isn't installed in all Nismos it is a $1500.00 option.

40K for a Nismo is pretty good, and there is no such thing as too low, the lower the better. ;)

And I agree on the down payment 5K and you are all set, but the dealer doesnt care, hes making money off the car regardless. Also is that is that after TTL? If so, jump on that asap! :tiphat:

Correct! I got mine without the bose and just got the kick plates and reverse camera i paid 41K for my 2013 so 40k is a good deal...

40k is pretty good. I got my '12 NISMO for 39k and got 18k for my 06' STi (72k miles). Yeah I know I ripped them a good one on the STi (needed new brakes, tires, clutch, driveshaft, and a paint job. Also I had flipped it 3 weeks after the purchase but the insurance didn't total it) Word has it the dealer still has it on a side lot asking 18.5k for it.

I'm not sure I would go around bragging about that.

The dealer knew it, I was up front with them. Plus the accident wasn't my fault, got ran off the road by a big rig. I have no idea why they made the deal. I suppose they had someone who wanted the car.

Either way good luck with the purchase! You'll enjoy it.

I find that hard to believe you walked in to a dealer with a trade and you said yeah I rolled this thing and they in turn were like yeah we will give you top dollar for it...
