Default USAA Car Buying + 370Z

Hi all,
I am a banking member at USAA, and I recently stumbled across a "car buying program" that the bank offers. For fun, I looked, and sure enough, they have the 370Z as one of the cars that you can purchase (you can purchase nearly any car from this service). Evidently, it is a "no haggle" approach to purchasing the car. For example, a base 370Z runs $27,938 , add a sport package on to that, and it is $2602 extra. Has anyone used this service, and if so, are they happy with it? It seems like a great deal!

Yeah I may look into USAA when I eventually get my Z.

There's been several discussions on this actually, just search for "USAA".

Here's one: USAA Certified Dealer Invoice Price

Wait so is this like the VPP program?
You should also look into the penfed loan!
You can get low interest rate that you won't get from nissan or other banks.
I've heard some people get like 5.0% interest rate that **** will kill you!

I used the USAA car buying program to work my deal with Herb Gordan Nissan in Silver Spring, MD. Worked great! I'm happy with the way it turned out. Good Luck.

Yeah it's a great service, I have a very good friend that works at USAA. You can even go on their site and build the car that you want just like on Nissan's site. It then shows you the price that you might expect to get it.

I'm a long member of USAA and was going to get my loan through them. Although I was preapproved for a good interest rate, they wouldn't match the penfed rate.

I was going to use the car buying service but ended up negotiating a price lower than what I would get through USAA. USAA also couldn't match Penfed's 3.99% financing. Their insurance rocks, though.

Bought mine using the USAA program. I let the dealer do all sorts of manipulations and price drops then whipped out my USAA print out that was still $2500 off his lowest offer, he was none too happy, but if they have a deal with the dealership the dealership has to honor the pricing (Brown's Nissan in Fairfax, VA. It's a great program and I'll certainly use it again.

Wait, so do you have to get the auto loan through USAA to get the USAA car buying program discount? I can even beat PenFed, my credit union has a rate of 3.5% on new cars???

I think you just have to be a USAA member. My dad has bought some cars using the USAA prog but financed them through NFCU or PenFed.

I went by a dealership here in AZ after being reccomended by the USAA program. After taking it for a test drive... cause you can't go without drivin the Z at least... Even if your not gonna buy one lol.

But to the point... The were quoting me @ $40k for a Sport AT model. And I was like wtf... You called me based on the USAA site. Now, I didn't take the price printout for a reason, I wanted to see if they wanted to sell a car, or honor a deal. The dealer never made a mention of the USAA thing, so when I brough it up that I was quoted with them for $31,800. He didn't really even know what to say. At that point any chance of a deal was done. There's another dealer in the area quoted at the same price. I'm really disappointed in this but oh well, I'm not looking to buy the car this week so I've got time to find a dealer willing to honor this deal.
