2013 OTD pricing - What did you pay?

:hello: Finally got over some personal issues that have been keeping me from buying a Z so I started calling dealerships today to see what kind of price I would get back.

Asking for a 2013 6sp with sports package the price came out to $38,243.39 OTD. Does that seem rather high or is that reasonable for the options? I was quoted that price for a touring Z two years ago.:ugh2:

Well, it's $34k before ttl. I'm talking about OTD, with cali tax it comes out to about another $3000.

So if what you're giving me is pre-tax then it seems $38k is correct?

Well find out your selling price, msrp of the vehicle, tax, etc. 38kOTD almost sounds like a reasonable amount considering Cali sales tax. You should be in the approximate 36,500-38k range OTD

dP3NGU1N 11-05-2012 03:42 PM

Has anyone in cali gotten a 2013 for $36500 OTD? If I can get that price I'd grab one tomorrow. Certainly sounds significantly better than 38k though not quite as good as the $35k I had expected.

Dont forget to find out what their DOC Fees are. I have seen some dealerships go as high as $599.

Some salesman will include it in their bottom line price, some don't. Some have tried to pull the BS that the DOC Fee is like Tax, Title, & License -- "It is Pre-printed on the sales form"

dP3NGU1N 11-06-2012 02:59 PM

The doc fees the dealership gave me was, like you said $599. That sounds like a load of bullocks to me. Is this something I can have them waive off if I'm adamant enough?

speedracer007 11-06-2012 03:15 PM

Either push for getting rid of the fee, or work to reduce the price by $599.

I work for a price that INCLUDES the Doc Fees, but not the Tax, Title & License. The Tax is based on what you pay for the car, and the Title & License are the same no matter what dealership you buy it from.

Taxes differs ALOT from state to state, so you really need to understand what it is for the state of Cali. Also, in my state, you pay tax on the difference between a trade-in and a new car purchase price. Another tax thing to take into account is that the tax rate is different in different cities, so you may end up paying more in taxes based just on what dealership you buy it at. (A 1% difference on $35000 comes out to $350). It is worth it to take a few minutes to read up on taxes on your state's website.

Yeah, acutely aware of what my tax rate is, unfortunately. 8.75% in my city, it's borderline extortion.

dP3NGU1N, I special ordered a 2013Z in the exact same configuration as you've mentioned (received delivery in August of this year). My OTD price was $37,300.

All details of my sale is listed in the "Introduction" section. Please look for the title "2013 On Order", it's on the 2nd page now.

I listed all the details including MSRP, invoice price, tax, license, registration, etc. This post & replys went 4 pages long with all the final price details on page 4. Don't hesitate to ask me any questions.

Good luck:tup: Oh by the way, I really enjoy this car:driving:

OP, I got my PW 13 sport 6mt for $34,000 OTD from Huntington Beach Nissan. I also got the Maint gold for three years thrown in for free.
I was at the dealership haggling for about 4 hours and did not trade anything in.
Good luck and don't settle for the first deal you get:tup:
