Not sure if the Nismo gets the bose system, but if they do then they are WAY better than the base model w/ sports package lol. Correct me if I'm wrong, but looking at bolt on gains the Nismo model seems to get noticeably more whp and tq from bolt ons compared to the regular Z?
|
thank you all for your inputs! they really help. I really wish the front of the Nismo would look more like the Sport version, or looks more aggressive like the new G37 Sedan. Anyway, maybe just personal preference.
One more question, do most of you prefer the keep the OEM suspension on the Nismo? i know changing them out for a lower spring will defeat the purpose of the Nismo suspension, but i have seen a couple of them on the road, and they look a bit high. |
to me, the nismo suspension is for track smooth roads only. Anything else, and it's just too harsh and like you said, too high. Im just going to install the Swift springs and see if they helps out, otherwise I'll be going BC coilovers with Swift springs.

370Z w/ Sports Package or Nismo
Hello,
I am new to the forum but i've been snooping around here for some time now. I have decided to buy a 370Z but i am not sure whether to get the base with sports package and do mods afterwards or just spend the extra cash and go for nismo any suggestions? |
test drive both, see what floats your boat more.
oh, and in before this turns ugly (again, for like the 100th fvcking time). |
What he said ^
I think the sport package is the best bang for buck in the Z lineup, you can save some cash now and mod later. I have the sport package and dont feel like im missing anything, but thats just me. However, if you do have the cash now, and like the nismo, get the nismo. You can also mod the nismo later if you feel the need. |
Reasons to get a Nismo vs. Base plus Sport:
1. No intention to mod or very light modding. 2. Prefer the looks of the Nismo. 3. Want the additional exclusivity of the Nismo. I have one for reasons 2 & 3. If you plan on tracking your Z and doing a lot of upgrades you're probably better off getting a base + sport. Just remember that in the end it's your decision. |

So ur calling everyone who modded their cars who didnt buy a nismo a pussy? Cuz if thats so u should gtfo. Op its all preference. If u want to mod ur car and make it unique go for it! If u want a nice looking ride thats already fun to drive and responsive go with the nismo. I personally didnt want to skip out the luxuries of the touring sport package so i wanted leather and and all that so i got that and modded it like crazy. Now it turns more heads and is faster than a stock nismo. But if u like the nismo body package i would get the nismo cuz the fitment is better than any aftermarket kit. |
Get the base/sport 'cause you can't get an automatic with the NISMO and most everyone on here will tell you that the 7AT is the way to go.

here's something I found out that can help you.
If you want a longer Z, get the Nismo If you want a shorter Z, get the base + sport |
