Dealer needs to make deal today to meet quota,

2012 New, touring, sprts pkg, 36.7k 18 miles on it, comes with z mats, and he'll throw in illuminated kick plates at that price.

I'm assuming this is a really good deal?

If a manual transmission that is $1200 under invoice so it sounds like a good deal to me. Are you trading anything in? The trade is usually where they make back most of the money they lose on a under invoice deal.

What color?
Auto or manual?
Nav or no nav?
If no nav, does it have rearview cam?

Does he have an extra set of illuminate kickplates sitting around he is going to install? (I'm just curious about this part. Seems weird he would add options on a lot car)

For reference, about 3 months ago I paid $39,511 for

If yours is a manual without nav/bu cam, I would say it's a good deal that you probably won't move any lower on price.

If it has nav and/or auto, then it's a great deal at that price and I would not hesitate.

that sounds like a pretty good deal but the questions asked above^ determine whether its a "good deal" or a "steal" :tup:

Car specs as follows: No nav, it's a manual, touring sports pkg, 18 miles (so brad new), 2012 black persimmon, floor mats, he's offering to throw on kick plates, and back up camera for free, but i might work out a deal to have manufacture nav insstalled instead of which the price might move up a little but I won't want it much more.

but as of those features its 36.7k. No trade in. need to close deal today for dealer to meet quota.

regarding kick plates, he said the parts department can install it for me at no additional cost.

how would you have a backup camera without the nav system? that sounds like a "good deal" and if it's what you want, you should probably do it. it doesn't, however, sound like a "great" deal

I would be extremely surprised if you could pull off getting the manufacturer nav installed, if only for the reason that it's technically going to be difficult for even the dealer to pull off. Everything runs through it including the heating/cooling. I can't imagine this dealer taking that big of a hit just to move the car. It would be cheaper for them to take another $2k-$3k off the car and move it as is.

you're right! The deal fell through, talked to dealer, can't put manurfactuer nav in it too hard to do, they offered to put in an aftermarket nav and also upgrade to bose for 1600, then they said the kick plates they were originally gonna install for free would cost me another 300. Once i heard that the price went up to like 38.2 or around there, and I was done with them, I am not going to purchase the vehicle paid up front with that deal esp in september. I appreciate everyone's help it did make a difference.

they'll probably call back next week and want to sell it for $35k :rolleyes:

I have a Black/ Persimmon touring sport 6 speed with back up camera at 1500 below invoice- which comes to 37562, and we have the same car in white/ black. Thats losing a few hundred
