Just went to check out the new '13's and the sport/auto was going for 37. That's 8 grand more for the nav!

Did not see Fair's post. But Fair is right it's highest model right under the Nismo.

Thank you very much for the site and the exact invoice there says $41,703. When I went to the dealership today they showed me their invoice and it displayed $42,006 with the MSRP of the car being $45,205. I was offered $42,500 as his lowest rate I could get the car for. What I am confused about is if the invoice was actually what he said it was how can they only make $494 on the car? Wouldn't that put them out of business for only making that much profit? Is their any hidden things I should worry about?

Sorry for all the questions... I am just not great with the whole car buying thing : /

No problem very useful site indeed.

Now is the 42,500 before or after taxes? If you can get the car for close to 40k OTD (out the door after taxes fees etc) then I think you are getting a fair deal, dealers will try to get as close to msrp as possible but sometimes they will take a hit in order to move a car quickly.

Wow! 45k seem to be really high. Is that how much it is for the MSRP? Well, my comment to that is i would either purchase a brand new 2012 model instead. Or purchase the one without nav.

I actually completely forgot to ask if it was before taxes etc because I was in a rush but I am pretty sure that is not including taxes. They actually do not even have the car yet. They have to have it sent from another dealership. I am trading in Hyundai Genesis 2010 as well with 36k miles on it. It would be considered "fair condition" or maybe even a little better because I had a $13,000 accident that happened to it and the body shop did terrible aligning. Blue book states it for $15,000 as not the best condition and they are only offering me $12,500 which I find strange as well.

The sales guy has seemed a bit "off" to me ever since I got there and was always trying to slip me up on every question he asked me. I don't have the best feeling about this dealership but it's by far the most convenient.

hmm well by the sound of the price, the price they offered you on your trade in, and the sketchy feeling you are getting along with the questionable salesman, I would say try and look at other dealers as well, while keeping this one on the back burner.

well you got a price quote already. Now take that to another dealer and use it against them.
