I appreciate your responses.... What exactly is the steering lock failure do? I am looking at a 2010 Roadster Auto with 27,000 miles on the clock from an independent dealer.

I am looking at a 2010 Roadster Auto with 27,000 miles on the clock from an independent dealer. The car has 2 previous owners which is odd for a 2010 and the dealer is telling me the car is still under factory warranty until December or 36K miles.

Does the warranty follow the car or the original owner?

If under warranty can this steering issue be fixed by Nissan?

Also if vehicle is under warranty can I purchase an extended warranty from Nissan?

Sorry for all of the questions... I really appreciate your responses
