Default Phoenix dealerships

Anyone have any experience, opinions, or thoughts on the Nissan dealerships in Phoenix? So far, I've been to two (Power Chandler and Midway). It is my understanding that taxes are the lowest in Chandler, so a lot of people shop elsewhere and then go there to buy..

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I talked to the guys at Power Chandler when I was looking to get mine. A good group of guys there. Would highly recommend it. I cant remember the name of the dealer I dealt with there, but everyone was very nice.

I would recommend however, to AVOID ABC Nissan.

When I was looking to finance my Z, I went through USAA's dealer program and pre-applied for financing and what model/options I wanted. They then recommended me to their dealers. So I went to ABC Nissan. First went, talked things over with them, took a test drive, was sold. Then came inside to talk numbers, Showed them I had been approved for financing through USAA and was referred to them at the price we'd agreed on for the car/options I wanted. The dealer said he had no idea what I was talking about, and they'd never dealt with USAA before. I said well the finance people at his dealership agreed to the price and that's why I was there. He brought in the manager to attempt to smooth the deal and I said if you can't meet me at the price your dealership agreed to, I was out the door. They said they wouldn't do less than 40k for base + sport. I said later.

Long story short, wouldn't recommend ABC Nissan, even though I know they do a lot of advertising in town.

Thanks for the response. I haven't yet met with anyone from ABC. I'm also a USAA member .. perhaps I should contact them and follow the route you took. Think I'll have to give them a call this week.

The first visit I had at Power Chandler was pretty good. The internet sales manager I dealt with was very laid back.. let my friend and I take out a Z on our own.. even got to rev the engine on a GTR in their showroom. Oooh, aaah. =] Glad to hear you had a good experience there.

A friend of mine bought a Leaf and wasn't very happy with the financing people at Power Chandler, but said the rest of the people seemed fine.

Keep the dealership info coming! I appreciate ever bit of info you guys can share.

I actually bought mine from Coultier Nissan at 43rd and Camelback, if you wanted to go that far. Good bunch of people there in sales. I had a bit of a problem with the Finance office, but that nonsense I shut down quickly. Also, if you do happen to go there, buy there, if they say they do clear bra, DO NOT go with it through them. Get it done with an external shop. They really chumped me in that.
