My vehicle delivery nightmare.

Wow, three new members all having a "good experience." My thoughts are he had a few simple request and the fact the dealer could not follow through is just wrong.

Wow, three new members all having a "good experience."
My thoughts are he had a few simple request and the fact the dealer could not follow through is just wrong. I told my salesman to not install a front plate, he said they usually do but since I request he made sure they did not. The fact they did not check any ID or verification with the wife is wrong no matter which way you write it. Anyone could have come in and picked up that car; now what are the odds, probably low but still possible.

I say all of this because I bought a car from this dealer and had the most outstanding experience, but you all don’t care about that do you?? AK, any chance you can get IP's on the 3 people that all of a sudden showed up on our forum saying they had great experiences with this place? $10 says they are all coming from that dealership. (joke btw AK, no need )

This dealership got paid a fee to "deliver" the car through a military program. I would have expected the same "delivery" I would get with any other new car purchase.

This isn't because he is military, it's because the dealership didn't treat a citizen with the common courtesy you would expect from a service industry. He is within his rights to put a complaint in writing, and post it where ever he feels will get his point across. Anyone on our forums reading this won't take their business to this dealership, which is about all he can ask for (besides an apology to his wife) at this point.

There are cases in which I can agree with you. But this is not one of those cases. I am just beating a dead horse here. But define a "courtesy delivery"
I don't think you will find, throw someone the keys in the definition. This can go back and forth all day long, but in the short, the dealership just lost a lot of money in service, because the salesmanager didn't feel that they should have cared becasue they didn't get the sale. I am not going to comment on this anymore. You can look at it at every angle, bottom line, the Dealer and Nissan may have just lost a customer for life.

It has nothing to do with rather he was military or not! It called common decency, and they couldn't be bothered because Brian wasn't "their customer"...They got paid to take the car and give it to the person that had already purchased it, so technically he is a "customer" considering he put money in their pockets. He might even be considered the best kind, he didn't even require any work really.

I can't believe people are on here calling Brian's complaints trivial and saying his concerns aren't a big deal. Not to mention saying he feels he deserves special treatment b/c he's in the military.

I'm not going to go through and address all the points, as others have mostly taken care of it and because it's a waste of time to argue if people read the facts and still feel the way they do. Just wanted to throw some more support for the "this is BS" camp.

Sorry you went through this, B.

I love how there is still no apology, just more blames from the dealer.

Hey guys,

First of all, I just coined ZODA "Z Owner's Driver Association" for us to use. We all belong to the ZODA whether that be literal or wishful, by virtue of forum membership. Sorry it has been a busy day with Ops, but I want to clarify a few things:

1. I emailed John Butts b/c he is the General Manager of Vaden's string of dealerships I was told. He is NOT the Sales Manager I was referring to. So new guy = wrong.

2. I am not pulling the military card thing. Did anyone see any "I am in the military and deserver better" remarks? I did, however, point out that I am deployed presently and it was not feasable for me to take delivery of the car myself. New guy 2 = wrong.

3. The 'internet' company I used is allows me to order a vehicle to my specs, no worry of it being test-driven roughly prior to my purchase (I didn't want a car with it's first 50-100 miles from hell), and yes, I spoke often with my sales person, Robin via Skype. She is the one that I was in contact with as soon as things started unravelling at Vaden. Most dealers didn't even want to talk to me when I would mention the 'internet' company's prices. (It's Military Auto Source, btw)

4. Look up some of the other posts on here. I believe you will see some pictures of damage done by some of our very own after removing those 'decals'. My point is, it is just a dumb little trivial thing. I didn't want it on there. Told them that. And now I would be risking pulling paint off my car to remove it? I don't know. Just seems the best thing to do would be to have the dealer remove it.

5. My wife walked in and said she was here to pick up the PG 370Z on the side of the building. I would have expected someone to ask who she was or for a driver's license at least before just giving keys away. No big deal I guess to New guy #3.

6. In my first post (or second on this thread, i dunno), I said that I already know of at least 1 other guy on here that probably had a drastically different experience than me, based solely on the fact that he was a 'customer'. And read the first line in the letter, I said that I am sure this incident/action is not something the dealership condones.

ZODA, I don't think we need to bicker at all on here. I just feel that Vaden was paid for a service that they were unwilling to provide. As one of us previously mentioned, they basically got free money to allow the car to arrive there and do some minor customer service... not too much to ask.

And New Guys. Don't ever say I hide behind my military status. I would have written the same letter if I had any job that the 6,000 members here have.

Let's go have a beer... I don't want to break up the ZODA!
Brian

OMG, i think if it wasn't obvious before...it should be now....if you are in that area and want a Z...stay away from that dealer.

Not only do they treat a customer like crap...they follow them on message boards to defend some of the most stupid and selfish actions I have ever seen from a business.

ROFLMAO

I figured you could, but didn't think it was necessary with the obviousness of their join date and first post.
