change for 2010?? Any???
So I went to order my 370z yesterday finally with my VPP in hand. We sit down and start talking about the configuration and rough numbers (which I had done on the phone a week ago so I knew already it was a good deal). So they ask for the deposit and I tell them I want to test drive a Z one last time just to make sure. So I go for the test drive. Not as good as the first time I drove it but there really isn't any car out there I would buy for the same money. So I say lets go ahead with the deal. Again they ask for the deposit and hand them my credit card. The guy comes back in 5 min with another lady. She starts to tell me that they can't give me a finalized price on my order as my car would not be a 2009 but rather a 2010. Being that it will be next years car the pricing may changed and they wanted me to be aware of that. Thought that was nice but they couldn't tell me how much as 2010 info won't be out until July 1st. Not in any hurry I said well call me on July 1st with the new price before I say yes.
So I figure the price may go up slightly being that it will be a 2010 invoice may be raised from Japan. I wondering if anyone else has ran across this recently or could confirm this. Based on 2009 prices I was getting the car for something like 700-800 under invoice. My other thoughts are what changes to 2010 are there going to be? I'm hoping to get yellow but I've heard some rumors that yellow may be a 2009 only color. Now I'm thinking I may have to put off my order until I know full well what is going to be changing for 2010. Any thoughts? |

I believe it's been discussed and when I purchased my Z (the yellow one, that is) the dealer told me yellow was a one year color scheme. So, I am pretty confident in saying that there wont be any yellow 2010 models. Maybe a similar yellow but not a Chicane color.

you gotta remember that dealers lie all the time. You may in fact be able to still order your car.
There's more money in the 10's than the 09's if they can sell that instead. |

PERHAPS>..
Like the Celica 00-01(Had the highest revving celica for the GT-s) with gray interior 02(Had shitty gt-s rev of the years) with gray interior 03(GT 1zz_fe engine built stronger, 03 GT-s higher rev limiter than the 02 not as high as the 01) dark gray interior 04(same gt and a little better gt-s) dark gray interior 05( same gt and crappy GT-s with lowest rev limiter again) dark gray interior.

^Not to mention a drastic front bumper change in 03 with the TRD kit and even the stock. I don't think we'll see a major exterior change in the Z for a few years.
I think there might be some Anniversary and "born on date" plaque options for 2010, and that might knock prices up $500-$1000 dollars or more. |

Well see, I really don't care about any special edition anniversary cars or other things like that. Mainly I want my yellow Z. I've been planning on a yellow 370z since I first saw it last year. Now that I finally have all my ducks in a row to buy it I can't find it anywhere. It's crazy how rare yellow is, let alone in a touring 6 speed manual. I've found several yellow auto's but no way I'm getting this car in automatic. I've got them working on one that I located out of state. If not I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens on July 1st. The lady at the dealership told me today that on the 1st they should be able to see what changes if any are made for 2010. I'll keep everyone posted if and when I find out anything.

If Nissan holds true to form, a color might be dropped or changed. The 350Z lost one color from 2003 to 2004 ( Brickyard). My guess is that the yellow disappears or a new premium color takes it's place.
