2012 Employee Pricing CAD
Hey Guys,
On the market for a 2012 Sport MT. Been poking around a few dealerships in Ontario Canada, to as far as Saskatoon for this "employee pricing" Nissan is using to drum business. Some dealerships only stated 4400 off when I inquired..even after I told them about competing dealerships $9000 off. (which is the standard discount that can be applied till the end of June BTW) The most aggressive quotes I have gotten were around 37000 plus tax and 7% financing from Nissan canada. Now I understand 37k is good price for this car but with 7 % interest it will not be a whole lot different then regular list price (45000) with a more aggressive interest rate. So the big question here. Has anyone gotten a 2012 nissan sport for 35-37000 at a decent interest rate? Im close to purchasing but the deal isnt sweet enough ... 37000 CAD plus tax is better then the standard 45k plus tax for this car but not if they are making up the difference in interest. Ive seen this before where "amazing employee pricing 10k off" then shitty interest rates. Months later car is list price with "0 % financing and free chrome ****" lol Smoke and mirrors I tell ya.. intrest rate is based off of your credit... if your credit isn't very good, you won't see much better then 7%..

Very true, I have good credit. Not a millionaire but not bad either ... Just looking to see if anyone Canada side here has been dicked around with multiple sticker price/interest rates as well..
This may be my first new car purchase, but Ive been told to many different numbers from different dealers. I dont trust them now, Its frustrating. My bank gave me 6 percent and the dealers are supposed to have better rates. Seems saleguys have a price on your head when you walk in the door.. One guy pulled the "hold on a sec Ill have to talk to my manager" When he went to the office I left..lol |

Is the "employee discount" the Nissan corporate employee discount or just an advertisement by the dealership? If it's through corporate, then you can get financed through a bank or credit union instead. If it's through the dealership, then you are at the mercy of the dealerships financing.

I'm about to purchase a 6mt sport 2012 in Ontario. List price of 45000 less employee pricing and because I'm not financing through Nissan therefore a cash purchase as far they're concerned the price drops to 36,700 plus HST plus fees and options. They are throwing in a few small things but not much. Financing through this particular dealership is an open, 84 months at 5.99%. Me and my wife are planning on paying it off in a max of 4 years but just in case an unknown expense arrises we kept mandatory monthly payments low. They did offer a rate of 4.99% for 4 years I think.

I bought my 7AT with about the same discount and interest rate last month. The dealer signed me up with a lesser known credit union for 5.75%; but I opted for Nissan's 6.9% as its residual value was higher and no extra admin fees - ended up paying less for the down and monthly on the lease. So read the fine prints.
I am not an accountant, but +2% is only +1.8K in total for a 4 year finance, still less than the extra discount on top of the factory reduction. Besides, those number are meaningless when you're sitting inside your Z, or when the Z you wanted is sold out. |

Saw Hunt Club Nissan flyer here in Ottawa, they seem to have an amazing deal on 2012s. about 8k off plus another $500.
So 40k - 8.5k = 31500 + Tax for base with touring is amazing considering that they had a 2011 base car for 33k. Here's exact discounts 7946+500 for base 8297+500 for Sport 6868+500 for Sport with Nav Last edited by indyn; 06-20-2012 at 01:42 PM. |

The employee pricing I got was $ 8300 off. It's before the taxes so even better really. That was with the sport package no nav.
Good luck finding a 2012 though, at least I was told there are only a handfull of them left in the country. So I've been told I wanted 6MT in gun metal gray coupe with sport package and settled for all of that except I went with red instead. Last edited by NS370Z; 06-20-2012 at 02:16 PM. |

What colour? Combo's? I'll be pissed if one is gun metal with 6MT sport. Said they looked all across Canada. Would you be able to find out for me? I have a $1000 deposit on this red one arriving here tomorrow. Maybe the dealer was unwilling to send one east? |

Damn, that sucks. Do you know if they have the employee pricing deal? I should have flown up and driven it back to NS, if only I'd have known. My guess is they knew they'd eat the shipping to have it sent to NS so they found me one closer. I was close to scoring a silver one from Quebec but the Que dealer screwed me over saying it was available then changed their minds. I'm going to send an email to the Coburg dealer. Thanks
