2010 40th anniversary ed. 370Z
Hi guys,
First time poster, just wondering what you guys think about this purchase. I went into a Nissan dealership looking for a 370Z, there were no low priced tourings, so we went and test drove a 2012 m/t roadster for good measure. After figuring out that I was looking for a cheap, 2009-12 370Z Manual touring, he said that he and his sales manager had found a relatively low mileage, low price 2010 40th anniversary edition 370Z on the Auction. The salesman seemed more excited than myself. And told me that he's going to try to buy the car as cheap as possible from auction, and to wait out any other possible purchases until I come look at this amazing car. He's stayed in touch with me through text, letting me know that it arrived and was on the truck, and snapped some pictures for me. The car looks immaculate! I think he said it has something like 5,000 miles, and that it was a Corporate owned Nissan car. My question to you guys is, how much is the car really worth? I tried researching it, but there isn't much information about them. I'm pretty sure that they are going to push 32k out the door. But that seems a really high for a 2010. We haven't talked exact prices yet and it somewhat frightens me. Just not trying to get screwed!!! So if anyone could help me out, or have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it! Sincerely, Ronen91 |

I'm not sure about the price, but I'm gonna have to throw up the BS flag on it being a corporate car. Only reason that I say it is that it has the Nismo S-Tune bodykit on it. I could be wrong.
The 40th is definitely my favorite. I could kick myself for not waiting. |

I love my 40th and I bought mine with about 5K miles on it about 6 months ago. The price I paid was about what you are mentioned. I have seen them go for a bit less on these forums but not much. For me the 40th was worth the premium because I just love the interior and exterior color combo. The fact that you would be just one of 1000 in the entire US is pretty cool as well. Come to think of it I am sure some of the 1000 have been wrecked so one of less than 1000.

I was jumping on deal with a 40th z around 28.5k, about 31k out he door with only 5k on the odometer. But it sold within the first week it was posted (actually on the way of me taking a look at the car). I'm buying one now for 30k and 18 on the odo. They'll push you on 32. Try to get it out the door for 30.

Ditto bs on the corporate car, except I'm not sure why that would be a selling point. If my company let me drive a z for a year... oh the things I would do to it! Abuse trumps price for me. Measure the tires.

It's a Nissan accessory/aftermarket kit. Dealer can put them on, but I wouldn't think they'd do that on a "corporate" car. Of course I'm not sure what corporate car even means anymore. I kind of think it's the new term for "demo". Good luck in your negotiations.

The Z did not. There is nothing limited about the 40th relative to any other 2010. Other color combinations are more scarce then the 40th, but its the consumer who may lock into this color and the dealer sales pitch that can keep prices a bit higher. Smart dealers who traded say 30K for one and let it go for 32K and take the profit moving cars. Others sit on them waiting for the perfect customer. We walked away from a dealer trying to sit on one an ended up with a loaded roadster for only a few K more then they wanted for a 40th with more miles. Besides...no nav in a 'anniversary edition'. Really Nissan? Really? In our case another dealer had sold one for 33K the previous week and this dealer held out for near 35K and used the other sale to try to support the demand factor. Dummy in the short term as the car sat for over a month. They either wholesaled it or someone bought it at some point. Wasn't me. - b |
