Default USAA Certified Dealer Invoice Price

This post is mainly for people looking to buy a new or used Z or any number of makes and models of car for that matter.

USAA offers a "Car Buying Service" through its website. It's a tool that works with certified dealers across the nation to offer cars at or close to invoice. You must have some type of USAA account, be it auto insurance, checking/ savings account or credit card, to use this tool. Once you have an account its as easy typing "Car Buying Service" in the search bar and using the service. I used this tool to find a 370z Touring with Auto Trans., Sport Package, Navigation, Floor mats, Illuminated Kickplates, and Carpeted Trunk for $38, 351, which if i'm not mistaken is invoice.

Once I built my car and printed the summary I called the dealership that came up on the summary, which was only 100 miles away, and told them I built a car through USAA and they knew exactly what was going on. I had no problems getting the car at invoice and walked out the door paying a little more than MSRP, that includes tax, tags, and title!

Good luck and I hope you have as easy of a car buying experience as I did.

good to know, USAA has its headquarters here in San Antonio. It's to know there's an alternative option to Pentagon Federal where they offer a 3.99% rate.

Actually, the invoice price on the car you mentioned is not $38,351. The invoice is $37,094 including the $700 destination charge.

The invoice price according to the page you linked is $38,351. Math fail

In reality it could be $35 lower if the car was delivered before the destination charge hike.

I was going to go the USAA route but ended up negotiating a better price than the USAA car buying service offer.

USAA's offer got me 300 under invoice just to begin with.

Definitely use their system, and if you have a lot of Nissan dealerships (like here in L.A.) plug in some various zip codes to get the different prices. I used another dealership's 300 below invoice, went to the biggest one around (that has the highest volumes, and highest kickback) and got an even lower price.

USAA is a good bank to go through for purchases, I can get a '09 370z for $31,000. Plus taxes and fees and you got about $33-34,000, but that's still awesome for a 370z
