Dealership getting back at you for not giving a good survey at NISSAN
Has anyone here got pressured by your sales rep at the dealership to answer the survey the way they want you to answer the survey excellently, literally telling you to lie about what you feel in the survey?
And when you did not give the rating they wanted they take it against you and calls your attention. I've been buying cars for the last 18 years and this is the first time I encountered this with a dealership. I pay good hard earned money and is it my fault if I expected more from them? Now do I still want to deal with this dealership and have my car serviced there? I hope Nissan America is not represented as a whole by such unprofessional behavior. |

I would find a new dealer and make a complaint with Nissan North America about the dealership treating you that way.

What Steve said. Dealerships actually make their money with the service aspect of the sale anyhow, so for them to make any attempt to harass you about a bad survey actually will hurt them more. You'd think in an ideal situation the dealership would contact you and indicate they will work harder to earn your business. Then again, some dealers don't seem to care. Those are the ones you quickly identify and stay away from.

Its really frustrating like they made me feel that I owe them for finding me a bank to approve my loan. Hell is it not that part of the whole selling ball game?

I'd forget them and move on. You filled out your survey honestly and that is what Nissan North America wants. If dealerships want good survey results it takes more than just finding financing, there is the overall sales aspect and the support provided after the sale that matters. Notify NNA about this and forget them.

Could be my luck but I always have had excellent salesmen. But if I deal with someone I don't like, either I'll ask for a different one or just go to the different dealer. So I always give them perfect scores.
It's the FI Managers that I usually have problem with. Most are very cool and quick, just show me the warranty options and stay cool if I say no to all of them. Some would give me a look like I am a cheap a$$. Almost broke a deal once when I helped a relative buy a Honda. He said he couldn't finance her if she didn't buy any extended warranty. We were walking out right after that but the salesman hold us at the door and talked to the FI manager. Per my friend who is a salesman, the survey can only hurt sales staff, not FI managers. So even if I am mad at them but feel good about the sales process, I should just give them perfect scores. For the OP, I'd just find a different dealership and write a complaint to Nissan. |

This is not me saying it, but in the car business, a person with bad credit has a name "dirt bag". So put yourself in their position. They got a dirt bag approved, & made it possible with this loan for you to clear/strenghened your credit & get a car and all they asked for was a good report card. |

I got great service and calls from my dealer until they got my survey. After they got the survey, I can't even get the service rep to return my call when I want to schedule an oil change. I will be doing all of my business elsewhere from now on. We bought 2 new vehicles the same day and this will most likely be my last Nissan purchase. I bought my car with the deal to have them install an OEM mirror back-up camera installed. The dealer then told me to take it to car-toys to have an aftermarket camera installed. I said the deal was for OEM. They installed an OEM and billed me $300 when I picked it up.

And Chief that statement is barking at the wrong tree. I do not have a bad credit the only thing I do not have is enough credit history but my credit is always in good standing. Besides I have 2 other cars both less than a year old under my belt when I was financing this deal which is also part of the issue that is why I was forced to trade the other just to get the Z for the bank to approve. Bank say why do I need 3 cars for. Surveys are designed to provide accurate feedback not to pull down one's effort but rather push someone a notch higher to level of excellence. Yes you are right it would not kill me to give an excellent rating even if I feel they don't deserve it. But think of it am I really giving justice and truly helping the dealership as a whole or any staff in that dealership to improve the quality of their service by rating them dishonestly and deceiving the survey? "It only takes to do nothing for evil to thrive and prosper" " Nobody is perfect but anybody can strive for perfection to improve themselves" |

A salesman once told me that he gave a guy a fantastic deal on a truck, treated him like gold, and cust. hugged/kissed him when he left. After some time the salesman was informed by the manager that an unanomous cust. gave him a horrible survey. After a vin search, it turned out to be that guy. When the customer came in for service, the salesman happen to be eating a big salmon(fish) meal. As much as he liked salmon, he found a better place for that fish. He put it deep under the floor carpet of truck. Truck made many trips to service dept. The cause of the smell was never found.
