Sometimes things just happen that make you think the gods are really on your side..
I had been thinking and thinking about getting rid of my Honda and getting a Z. The Honda just did not do it for me..After much looking around I found a white Z that had been been part of another dealers inventory when this dealership bought them out. Well I test drove it a couple of times but was reluctant as I was just 6 months into a new lease with Honda. I hemmed and hawed and finally said No. Later they called me and told me they give an additional $1000 for the Honda in order to sell this Z because they just did not want to have an 09 sitting on the lot in 2011 as no one was interested in buying it just before winter. So I went there to close the deal but when I got there I found someone else had just put a deposit on it! So I figured I had lost. I later got a call from the salesman saying he did not think the other person could get credit and he would keep in touch. That was Monday. On Friday he called and said the other guy ( a young fellow) was denied credit. So I went there and bought it that morning. Next week I found the other guy had showed up the very next day with cash in hand! Too late for him! Good for me Next week I drove the car into the parking lot of a condominium complex to meet with some people inside. When I got out I found two guys around my car. They told me they had seen the car at the dealership and talked to the dealer and could not come to price agreement but were planning to return and take it.... the very day after I bought it! The guy was staring at the car..and I could sense his sadness.. he said he should have taken it as it was the only white, sport package touring edition automatic within 250 miles and that was exactly what he wanted....His friend said "See Joe I told you, you should have taken it!" The guy seemed really down and said, "And what are the chances that the car of my dreams should be sold to someone else and then appear right in my own back yard!" At that point a woman drove up, rolled down the window and shouted to him "Hey Joe! I see you finally got that car you always wanted!" He shook his head.. Guess this car was just meant to be mine! Hahaha cool story. You should've told him you bought the car elsewhere lol. You essentially broke his heart.

Nice story....very nice story. Hey you snooze you lose & it is your gain & his loss. That guy can always get a '13, but you could always try to sell it to him for a several hundred or a grand more.
