Default 3M & Scotchgard Paint Protection Film

I know I saw this somewhere & some people mentioned what parts of their car was protected by the clear film. My question is what product did you use (or clear film used), what parts of the car are covered, and what did you spend?

I remember when I had my '06 G35 Coupe front bumper took a beating with the rocks & it was pretty much a kick in the ****. The '08 G37S Coupe was kind of the same, but not as bad. This time around I want my '12 Nismo to be covered & covered as much as possible.

I know the front bumper, 1/2 of the front quarter panels (driver & passenger ), 1/3 of the hood & the side mirrors (driver & passenger) are covered. This does sound great, but could you actually get the entire quarter panels (driver & passenger) & hood completely covered? I personally wouldn't mind having the whole damn car covered, but you will probably pay an arm & a leg to-do so.

Now let's say you do have this protective film covering your paint which is a good investment by the way. When it comes time to wax your vehicle is it basically a waste b/c all your doing is putting wax/whipping off the wax from the protective film covering. So what is the point of waxing your vehicle then?
