i look at alot of decision making this way (im good at this because im a girl, i do this alot while shopping): could i live without it? could i look back and never wish i had it? and if i ask myself those questions with this car i can weigh what is really important to me personally. would i ever regret getting different interior instead of persimmon? OH YES. would i ever regret not getting leds if i went with a 2012? ehh, not really. Would I ever regret not having the front end i want? YES. would i ever regret not having 2013 wheels? no, because i love the 12 and 13 wheels equally. i mean, body style is 100% more important to me. but youre right, i might be singing a different tune if i saw the 2013 in real life but as of right now i just see me kicking myself for ever doing something with this car without being sure. this thing has been a long time coming. ive worked my BUTT off to get to this point. i guess i will just go with my gut, whatever that is. by now you guys are probably annoyed by my indecisiveness. lol |

But I think you've broken it down enough to the point it's safe to say a 2013 is not what you Want. Would you accept one, probably, but over time you won't be happy with certain things. Just an outward observance..

You've had your heart set on the 2012, I wouldn't change your mind now. There's still plenty of them out there, you just have to find it. I live in Florida and I found the Z I wanted at the price I wanted almost 1300 miles away. Hang in there!

Oh god you're going from a Neon to a 370z?
That's like going from stepping in poop while wearing sandals to.. driving a 370z! My buddy had a white Dodge Neon. By the end.. there was a hole 'through' the floor you had to avoid, and when it rained.. it came through the hole on the roof I didn't read all the posts but.. you can't possibly go wrong with any Z. I wanna see what your 2012 or 2013 looks like when it arrives. So exciting! |

Then i heard the production is over and even called a couple Nissans with no luck.... Honestly Sara to make you feel a little better, the Mag Black 2013 will be SUPER Hot... Red calipers, 2013 wheels and the LEDs on the front will break up all the black... I say you rock that 2013!! Good luck and i think its all going to work out great for you EDIT--- Worst case you get a 2012 Bumper and get it painted, right? Maybe even make them pay for it since they changed the key factor on you! Our taste is a lot a like in this car! -Chad

Congratulations
I love the DRLs on the 2013s, so I think you come out way ahead by stepping up a year. If you don't like the calipers, it's an easy job to paint them. (I did...blue. See my album.) I know you will be happy.

I agree that you can find the car you want w/o a problem. If the dealership is not going to make any money off of you for buying a new car & you want a car that is a good several hundred miles away, then you will probably have to pay for the transport yourself usually. I had to pay $1k to get my '12 Nismo (pick-up this Fri morning with only 4 miles on it) which is almost 200 miles (one way....400 round trip) away unfortunately. The dealership didn't make any money off of me really. If I was paying a couple grand over invoice, then they would have paid for the transport.
