price check
the z i want is an auto with sport package (new). also checking out touring option, since the first place i called dropped the price on one from +42k to 35900. but really i would rather no spend the xtra just because i want bose. wondering if anyone could tell me at what price would be a steal or even fair on a base auto with sport (hard top). thanks for looking!

You can get a feel for invoice on the sticky as well, price out the packages etc...as for fair that is a bit subjective. For new cars, I am a big fan of invoice +500-1K depending on the model/cost etc... Dealers need to make a living, and with hold back this is typically enough to do the deal. Some will drop to invoice to move the car if its been sitting. This all assumes no incentives are in effect of course. Used is quite a bit harder...you have book values but there typically is a huge amount of wiggle. If a dealer drops a new price from MSRP to invoice rapidly...I would be suspect there are some dealer incentives going on and look to find out what they are. Few thoughts. Happy hunting. Isn't 35.9k high for base+sport? The MSRP says 34.9k on nissan website. Seems like someone is taking you for a spin man.

thats with touring. thanks both of you guys. see, all im lookin for is base with sport, but the dealer only had one with touring, and his price was 35,900. thought that was decent for a starting quote before negotiating. but thats why i posted, to get more opinions.
