Default Touring + Sport

I'm pretty set on getting a pearl white Touring with Sport. A dealer is offering one on the lot (different color) for 35,460, more than 3k off the MSRP sticker price. I'm going to see if they'll find a white one for me and sell it for 35k flat. That seems like a pretty good deal compared to what others have paid. What do you guys think?

that price for touring+sport is essentially invoice. it's a ridiculously good deal.

it's highly unlikely he'll sell it for $35k flat, unless he wants to run a loss.

Nice! I'm hoping to get low $35k if I can't get a flat..we'll see. I'm going through PenFed and getting 3.9%. You can sign up for for a small fee of $20 I believe. I think someone did a write up on it. I joined easily because I'm in the military.

I'm in the process of negotiating an internet deal. My question to you all is, are you quoting prices you paid with taxes and tags out the door? Or, are you quoting price of car before those additional costs? Realizing each will pay a slight difference based on locality of the purchase, this makes a difference for me as I have a quote right in Virginia now of $36,192.66 with another dealer saying he can beat that by 200 bucks for a 2009, 370Z Black, 6MT, Touring, Sport Package, Front floor mats, rear storage matt, illuminated kick plates. Let me know what you think.

I've received a few offers from dealers for mid to low $35k not including the paperwork. Just make sure you express to them that these offers are out there.

Wonder if you can start lobbying for lower prices now, since we should be on the "tail end" of '09 production?

JMO, but getting a 370Z at invoice isn't a "ridiculously" good deal - it's a fair deal that most everyone can get right now (I bought mine a month ago at invoice without trying too hard).

At $35K even (approx. $500 below invoice), the dealer will not be taking a loss - he'll still be getting about $250 or so (based on a 2% holdback), plus his volume-based "bonus".

Buying below invoice will take some work - but might be doable given the economy right now.

You absolutely have a great price. I bought my PG touring w/ sport, illlum kicks, trunk and floor mats for $35,900 + TTL 3 weeks ago. This was sort of an impulse as I just walked on to the lot and told them I wanted invoice. They were asking $44k originally. Ridiculous. You can probably get it lower than invoice, just requires a little more elbow grease.

I had Sheehy Nissan in VA quote $38,100 as the out the door price for the same car and options you mentioned. What a rip off. I'll be contacting other dealerships in MD and Northern VA.

Here's his offer:

2009 370Z} TOURING COUPE 6-SPD w/ Sport Pkg Carpeted Floor & Trunk Mats & Splash Guards.
MSRP: 38,610
Your Price: 35,840
Tax (VA): 1,151.74
Tags: 59.50
Doc Fee: 369.00
Freight: 720
OTD: 38,140.24

Which dealership offered the $36,192.66 offer? That's an out of the door offer, right?

I can't believe so many people are willing to pay $35-$37 for a car and not pick up one with nav... Simply confuses me, because its worth every penny.

That isn't a terrible price, but the freight charge of $720 should be considered part of the MSRP. If the sold you the car at $35,500 + tax and tags that would be a great deal. I thought your tax in VA was 5%?
