If you arent really bent on performance then yea but then again, if you are getting a base model you can always add the extra you want, I say start with a bare base model and add all the mods you need. Unless you are planning to keep the spoiler and wheels.

don't even think about not getting the sport pkg. don't want to use the sync feature, press a button and its off. get nav pkg also. if your going to spend that much, go all the way.

Sport package comes with a front and rear spoiler as well. 2012's and under didn't come with any suspension improvements over stock. Auto and Manual sport packages are the same except SRM, but the auto blips for your anyways. Re50A's are loud, there are quieter tires out there. Ride difference is very minor between the SP and w/o. Nismo... different story. SP is worth every penny and if a dealer tells you otherwise, slap them. The only reason not to buy it is if you don't care for the forged wheels, wheel size, don't care to have larger brakes, an LSD, front and rear spoiler, and SRM. Only old ladies who bought convertibles fit that description.

I got all the options on my Z except NAV. Then I went out and bought a TomTom for $150 with Lifetime Maps and Traffic, plus the Touring/Sports Z comes with the Premium sound (Bose 6 CD Changer+ 2 Subwoofers) anyway. So, I saved my $2K + Interest, and have basically the same functions as the NAV, and I don't have to spend even more additional money to buy the updates for my TomTom ...but then, I am unconventional in my thinking anyway... ...Oh, the $2K I saved...? I spent that on an FI Exhaust System that included FI Resonated HFC's...
