Just not in the cards...<sigh>
Well, after leaving a deposit last Thurs for a PG 6MT +Sport, the dealer called me today to say they can't deliver and I can have my $500 deposit back. Can you believe in this economy the dealer is giving me my $ back??? I have my financing set (Pen Fed) and am ready to buy but there are none in NJ and the ones in VA, PA, and NH are sold. I was told "none in the region" for that matter. I had my mind set on PG even though I do like the pearl white, I feel like something is telling me to hold off anyway. I guess when the 2010's come out I'll startup again. It's not like I'm in dire need of the car since I planned on keeping my daily driver. Just sucks. Good luck guys trying to find a PG 6MT +Sport in the northeast!

If your heart is set on that color then either expand the search area or if no hurry just wait.
When these cars first starting coming out it seemed that Base 6MT + Sport was in short supply, but on this forum it seems to be one of the most popular combinations ... go figure. |

PGs are obviously the most sold color of the 370Z.. Proof is in the pudding, there's just none left out there.. I know there are 0 to be found in Florida right now.. PGs a great color, but I find it's nicer and more refreshing to have a color that the whole Z community doesn't all have. I like not being the "ordinary Z". You can't go wrong with any of the colors!

I just ordered a PG 7AT touring w/ nav up on Long Island. We have 4 dealers up here, and if you're only in Jersey, you should try calling some of them up and seeing what they have in!

DON'T GIVE UP!!! DON'T STOP SEARCHING!
If you have your heart set on a car, do NOT stop searching until you find it. DO NOT SETTLE for another color, another option, another whatever. Trust me. Do it right. Do it once. I'm pretty sure you have the dream vehicle all settled out in your head. Expand your search radius. There are plenty of dealerships that will transport the car over to your location for you (although there might be a fee). There must be something you can do about it. You will find it and you will love it. I guarantee that.

Where in NJ are you? Do you mind buying from South Jersey?

I'm in middlesex co. I don't mind buying from ANYWHERE in NJ as long as the dealer accepts VPP or is at (or better than) the VPP price that I was set to purchase at. Buying in NJ would be optimal for me. Local dealer near me did a search (as well as myself) and there are NONE here. None within the northeast as far as what I've been able to find using the Nissan site. I'm sure that doesn't mean there might be one popping up somewhere but there's none in any dealer lots that aren't spoken for. I wouldn't mind making the trek even to the deep dirty south NJ... Hell, I could be home for dinner if I did it on a weekend or took a day off work.
I was thinking, since there are no "custom orders" being taken, I guess that means that the dealers are only getting what Nissan builds and ships? So that could mean that possibly a PG 6MT +Sport might just roll into the port at some time between now and the end of production? Thanks forgot to mention: I am not looking to pay a fee for a dealer to take delivery from another dealer, nor do I want a car with substantial mileage on it. If it's not here, it's not here. Keep looking man....they do pop up. I am picking up my PG + Sport+ 6MT from a dealer just north of Boston at the end of this week (placed order 4 weeks ago). He found one for me that was in transit from Japan to here. I think you have really good odds at getting one, as long as you have a dealer or a few dealers looking for you on a weekly basis. Good luck man....if you wait for 2010, you might benefit from a trans cooler (from the way it sounds).

FYI Windsor Nissan offered to order one for me still when I went on monday. You should give them a call and ask for either Rich or Mark(manager). I'm getting my Z from them and they were very helpful and willing to get exactly what I asked for. They also honor VPP pricing so that is a plus. Good luck.

Do you accept VPP? It's not my first choice to jump a 1 way flight to St. Louis and drive back 15hrs, I will keep you in mind.
PS - your site shows all touring PGs and if I change the search to 6spd manual I get 0 matches. Thanks Last edited by steveg78; 05-27-2009 at 09:09 PM. |

He told me he would order one for me from japan. Call and ask for Rich. They actually found one for me from another dealer b/c I didn't want to wait 3 months. But he definitely said he would order one from the factory for me.
