2009 or 2011 370z?
I've been looking for a 370 as a daily driver.
I found two, they're identical cars, same mileage. 2009 Touring/Auto/Sport/Nav - GREY 2011 Touring/Auto/Sport/Nav - Black (EDITED, found out car does NOT have the Touring Package so it's out) Both have about 3,000 miles on them The 2011 is exactly $1000 more Both are CPO vehicles and I plan to add the 100K WRAP warranty. Any reason to get a 2011 over a 2009? I know there was a NAV system update, but any changes other than that? Last edited by Speedy; 01-31-2012 at 04:47 PM. |

They came within $180 of my pretty low offer on the 2009 Saturday and I walked. I figured I'd hear from them by now with it being end of month but haven't yet. The $180 was to cover updating the NAV to 2012. I figure I can call them and tell them to just sell me the 2011 for $1000 more than the offer I made on the 2009 since they're priced exactly $1000 apart and not have to fool with the NAV update but wasn't sure if there was anything else Nissan added over the 2 years. Can you add the cabin filter to the 2009 or is it just not there at all? |

Personally I would get the 2011 or a new one... good luck, no matter which one you choose you will do the every time you are approaching the car..

Yeah, they're nice looking cars. Quick for a V6 too. Handle well. My only complaint is there is a bit of road noise but not a big deal.
I'm a car junkie and this should be a fun ride to add to the stable. I have a supercharged 4Runner to haul my dog around with and a 2009 Dodge Challenger with a built motor and a blower putting down about 600 to the wheel to play with, and figure this will be a nice daily driver. |

I'd do some research on the steering lock issue that some of the members are having with the '09 too before I decided which one to get.

Take the '09 and spend the $1k on mods. It looks like both are relatively on par with each other and there really isn't any major difference. The steering lock issue shouldn't be a problem if you get the 100k warranty. If it were the '12 I'd say go for that because of the oil cooler. I would also think about waiting a little bit because the 2013 is suppose to be revealed at the Chicago Auto Show with a midcycle refresh.

OK just double confirmed with the dealer that both cars were identically equipped....come to find out the black one is NOT a Touring, so it's out. I gotta have my leather.
I think I've beat them up on the price as much as they're gonna go. Guy said there was no more room for anything and they'd come up with the offer just to move a unit. Guess I'm gonna pull the trigger on the 2009. Thanks for the heads up on the lock issue. Funny they recall the units on the GTRs but not the 370s. Is $980 a decent price for the 84/100,000 wrap CPO warranty? Last edited by Speedy; 01-31-2012 at 04:40 PM. |
