So how many miles was on your Z when you bought it? How many miles is considered a "New" car? <5, <10, <20, <30? etc.

Everyone has different tolerance levels for that stuff, but I think we came up with a good agreement in the other thread that over 25 wasn't acceptable for a new car, unless you specifically allow them to drive it to you from somewhere.

i would say it's not so much the miles, but the way those miles were put onto the car, if it's automagic then it's not so much a problem, but if it's manual, then something can potentially break if you run the car hard on a new clutch without breaking it in. I've actually seen my stupid friend do it, bend his drive axial cuz he floored the car right after he changed the clutch

Not just test driving, but managers take them for weekends, and even worse,
they sell a car on the weekend, or after hours, the buyer starts driving the piss out of it, then the loan doesn't go through and the buyer has to bring the car back. With the banks getting all weird about loaning, this will be happening more and more. |
