Z arrived in port, but still there?
Hey guys, I've recently sealed the deal on a new 2012 PW base with Sport, and the dealership informed me that the car arrived in port (Jacksonville, to be exact) around last week. my question is, how long does it usually take from there, to clear customs and final assy? My dealer actually doesn't have a concrete date, but maybe you guys might have an idea.

Mine took 2 or 3 days once it arrived in port. I don't remember exactly.
|
Did your dealer give you an exact date? Mine only has the info from the shipping manifest, and that's it. I'm a patient person, but i'd prefer knowing concrete information, haha. If only...

No, they gave no exact date. I tracked the boat carrying the car and once it was in port, I got the call from the dealer about 2-3 days after that. I think it was actually 2 days but I could be wrong. Also, the dealership where I got the car is only about 15 to 20 miles from the port where the car was dropped off.

Just all paperwork.

Yeah, the anticipation is horrendous. I can't wait to finally be in an incredible sports car, and get to modding.

Waiting sucks but it will be worth it!!!

Just got a call from the dealership. :happydance:
It's not exactly the call I was hoping, but it's great news to me nonetheless - they confirmed a delivery date of having the car on the lot and ready to sell next week on Friday. Good things come to those who wait, I suppose. Hoping to join you guys out there in modding soon, and eventually, the track! |

Time in port is always a toss up. I've seen shipments get stuck for over a week before.

Nissan gives us an estimated date, always a Friday, and I've seen cars a week early and up to 3 weeks late. Dealers don't get a straight answer to give customers, unfortunately.
