another '09 pricing question

I'm looking at an '09 Touring + Sport + Nav with 24K miles. Dealer is asking $28.6K before TTL. How far off the mark is this price?

r1010220 12-29-2011 07:25 AM

that has 20k less miles than the one im looking at and they are priced the same. but from what im hearing its not to good lol

chillz 12-29-2011 09:16 AM

Yes, I saw the responses on your thread. I was wondering how much of a difference the lower mileage makes. I'm thinking I can get the dealer to move down a bit, but I doubt they'll move more than $1k. It's CPO, if that makes a difference.

r1010220 12-29-2011 09:59 AM

Ya CPO you have extended warrenty.
the z im looking at is valued at
NADA-28K
Kelly BB-31K
so i dont feel its over priced like everyone is suggesting, but its not underpriced either.
i spotted a 2011 with 6 mies on it with everythng i want, but the last i talked with them they wouldnt work with me at all. im gonna give them a shout today and see if anything has changed.

As far as milage I guess it depends on the person. A lot of folks will almost not even enjoy the car just to keep the milage down. If a vechical is well maintained the difference between 20k and 40k miles will almot be non existent, other than warranty of course. As far as models not much has changed between 09 and 2011 to justify an extra 3-4 grand.

But I may heed the advice and try to find a better deal

chillz 12-29-2011 10:18 AM

Yeah, I had a look at the online valuations, and it looks like the dealer is pretty much spot on. I gather from the responses to your thread that these valuations are high though.

OTOH, the extended warranty makes me more comfortable with the purchase, and it looks like it's worth $1K - $1.5K from what I can gather from other threads. I take it that the one you're looking at is not CPO?

Good luck with your quest... I see that one of the suggestions was to look for a newer model with less miles and take advantage of the low finance rates. I'm taking the car to Canada in a few months, so I can't finance mine long term. For me, that means $30K +/- $2K is the limit on what I can spend.

Ya same to you bro, I hope everything works out for you. In the end I will have the car I want weather I get a good deal or over pay a tad lol. I will enjoy every minute of it and drive the hell out of it.

just wanted to chime in here since the car you are looking at has the same options as mine. I got my '09 touring/sport/nav last May and it had 18,600 miles on it for $28,800. Not CPO, but I did wind up purchasing an extended warranty. I think your price isn't too far off the mark. Plus, it's hard to find ones with Nav. Almost every one I see on the dealer lots are Nav delete. Good luck hunting! Which ever 370 you get, you're gonna love it!

Thanks for the feedback. That was also my feeling from some of the other threads -- that the price wasn't stupendous, but it wasn't too far off the mark. I got them down another $1k and took possession yesterday. :excited:
