Any recent financings?

My car is supposed to be delivered in about a week and I was wondering what kind of rates people are seeing? I really don't want to shop it a whole lot and get a bunch of hard pulls on my credit since I just refinanced my house and already have a couple in the last few months.

I tried to find Nissan USA's rate and can't find it anywhere except when you do the payment calculator it defaults to 3.79%. I think my local bank is doing 3.49% on 60 mo. right now, so unless Nissan is lower or the dealer has a special arrangement with a bank, that might be my best bet.

Check your local Credit union, I financed mine at 2.9% when Nissan only offered 3.9%.

I just financed mine thru BofA (yeah.. I know...) at 1.94% for 60 mos.

da mayor 12-28-2011 12:58 PM

1.74% for 60 months, 2.24% for 72 months

scottIN 12-28-2011 02:10 PM

Best I've found on line so far is PenFed at 2.49 for 60.

1.9% with Capital One 60 months, not advertised but dealer found it for me this was in Nov 2011. 2.49 is still very good.

I got 2.66% dealer tried to tell me they couldn't go lower than 4.39% or something like that, and I was like okay I don't think I can buy the car...then he was like "Oh, wait sir we can work something out im sure, let me talk to my manager." Came back a minute later with 2.66%

I think multiple checks as long as within a month dont hurt your credit any more than one

This is exactly why a buyer should arrange their own financing or be prepared to negotiate the rate with the dealer. If the dealer is doing the financing they will usually get you the loan then tack on a point or two.

2.66% isn't bad!!

Nismo89 01-01-2012 11:20 AM

i think mine is around 2.90% or something maybe a little lower.

Yeah but usually if they run a credit check they can see if you have a good credit score, and most of the times they are able to give you a better interest rate based on that. Luckily mine was in the 750+ range, so I was all set.

They tried pretty much the same thing with me. I told them my CU had already approved my loan @ 3.9% so I'd just bring a check for the total, and they magically remembered that there was a 1.99% deal on their CPO cars :shakes head:

Kenny 01-02-2012 06:06 PM

Nissan offered me 2.99% and I just laughed. I went to my credit union and they gave me 1.99% for 36 months.

A couple months and payments in, my credit union had a promotional 1.79% for new auto loans.

:icon17: Yeah dealers are notorious at doing that.

Guys.....over here in Australia , not only the 370z cost over 60k USD new. U'll be lucky to get 9% rate on financing the cars.

This sucks big time.
