370z Pricing Advice
I'm looking at a few Z's. I E-mailed a few places and this is some of the prices I negotiated. Let me know which one you think is the best deal...
2011 GM Nismo with 13,800 mi for 34,975 before TTL. 2011 MB Base + Sport with 4,500 mi for 30,500 OTD 2011 GM Base + Sport with 3,250 mi for 31,900 OTD (I think OTD. I'm waiting for the E-mail back wondering if that price is before TTL fees.) 2011 GM Touring + Sport NEW for 37,954 before TTL (I am awaiting VPP pricing because I am active Army. Not sure how much of a discount that will be, but maybe you guys can give me an idea.) They all seem like decent deals to me. I really would want the touring + sport brand new in GM. However, I'm not sure how much of a VPP discount that would be and if it still is a good deal after VPP pricing. Any advice on these prices would help me in my decisan for this car. I'll be back in the states in a few days and can't wait to buy one of these! Thanks. |
When i bought my car new with VPP back in 2010, price was 4.3% below invoice (VPP is non-negotiable/non-haggling price. Its up to the dealership to either do VPP pricing on the car or not. If they do, they need to give u the full VPP discount). How much is invoice on the car u want?
|
I'm not sure. They just have the price at 37,954$. Then with VPP it will be however much after the discount...
|
Go to edmunds.com and go find out what invoice price (include destination price) is and take 4.3% off that price. Dont let the dealer do all the information providing. Otherwise you will not know if they are pulling a fast one on you.
|
Find out what VPP discount you have too. There's several levels of VPP pricing if i remember correctly.
|
It said I was a D plan. It says true market is 37,292$, invoice is 36,871$ and 37,940$ for MSRP. So 35,286$ is 4.3% off. Would that be how much I should pay for that car?

Look under plan D and calculate based on the instructions they give you. Thats the non-haggle price for VPP pricing. Hopefully the dealer will participate in the VPP. |
Yeah roger. I'm tracking the VPP. This dealership is negotiable and has the VPP for the car I'm looking at. Sorry about the military slang. I've been over here too long haha.

2011 MB Base + Sport with 4,500 mi for 30,500. Got them down to 29,960 before sales tax, license and fees. Does that sound like a good deal?
|
I wouldn't do it. You can buy a 2012 brand new for $32,502 without even haggling price through american express zag or true car I think its all same company.
I paid $31,500 on the first 2012 in the US with sport package. |
Thanks for the advice! I'm actually working a deal with 2 dealerships on a 2012 Nismo. One is offering 37,500 before tax titles and fees. The other one is offering 40,000 OTD with 2,000$ to ship from California to NC. Does it really cost that much to ship? I asked if the one dealership would match the others 37,500$ and also the cheaper dealership is going to take my VPP price discount and give me a new quote. What do you think?
|
The one offering $37,500 seems like a good deal.
Zag shows it at $38,549 so I would say another 1000 or so off is a good deal. I don't know how much taxes/registration is so I can't tell u on the OTD price. |
At a dealership right now. 2012 touring and sport for 39764 OTD with VPP. Decent deal?
|
Without knowing your taxes and fees, it's hard to tell. It seems about right if taxes and fees are about 11%.
|
Found another dealership. About to get a 2012 Touring+Sport GM for 39,000 OTD.
