Default Need assistance with my purchase

I'm looking to buy a 370z. Took one test drive in it and fell in love.

I currently own a 02 BMW 330xi loaded to the brim with 88k miles that I owe 14k on.

I went in to work a deal and they only wanted to offer me 8k for my trade and a base with sport for msrp...

I had another dealer offer me 3% over invoice on the same car but they have to locate it and they said that they'd likely give me fair to good kbb value for my car (8900-9500)

I'm considering countering back to the first dealer saying that I can get 3% over invoice and they offered me 11 for my trade.

Any advice?

I think you have a lot more wiggle room. My dealer tried to ask me how much over invoice i was willing to pay (shortly after they low-balled my trade). They said 2-3-4% over invoice and I said I will pay them 2-3% under invoice and the fact that they low-balled my trade, that that was a deciding factor for me to just get up and leave. They didn't want me to leave since I told them it was cut and dry that I would buy if the numbers were right. I chose to sell my trade locally since I have to wait for me new Z anyway and I got them $800 under invoice (including delivery charge of $695). I got my base PG Sport Package all options base model for $31,000 even. I think if you push on them a little more, they will budge. They are going to sell the 330xi for a whole lot more money than what they are going to give you. If they want your business, they will budge. Good luck man!

You are behind on your current vehicle in that you owe a lot more than it is worth, probably from taking a long payment schedule.

Offer Invoice, and $9K trade.
