No NAV?

Touring. Sport. Nav.

What's so hard about this that there are NO 2012's on the ground in the US like it?

Further, what's a fair price? Dealership told me they would take $2K off MSRP, and that would leave them at $1100 over invoice.

Fair?

Give it some time since the 2012's just came out. I paid $200 under invoice for my 2011 Z with all of those options last June.

there's a couple threads floating around...production down due to the damage in japan, navi is being put in bigger sellers. no nav in '12s for a while.

I wouldn't pay over invoice.

Sounds good, but they are giving me very solid numbers for my trade-in from what I can see (Very near private retail prices on the 'vette forum that have yet to move a car). In my area, Ford dealers are still asking $5K over sticker on Shelby Cobra's.

Buy out of state?

Sure, but I'm not going to drive all around the US having people appraise my 'vette.

Kindof stuck doing a local deal. I plan on doing a little bit of haggling, but in my experience, if $1100 is all they are making, let them make it and you will have a LOT better luck in service if ANYTHING goes wrong with the car. Used to work at a dealership and customers who haggled for less than 20-30 minutes always got better service and people didn't joy-ride their cars when they took them in for service. Yes. It has been known to happen...

Anyway, I walked on the deal until they could order me one with NAV. If I go with a 370Z, it's going to have every damn option known to man that isn't superfluous, and the NAV definitely is mandatory.

You can get them down to invoice. Just hold tight until you find the right deal. Assuming you can find one with the options you want, Nov/Dec is the best time to buy a Z for a great price. End of year, plus winter is not when a lot of folks buy sports cars. Stick to your guns.

Will do, thanks!

Winter here is meaningless, though.

I want persimmon leather and not in a black or white car. I've already owned both. I want gun-metal, silver, or red, but the interior choices suck. Black or grey interior. Meh.
Is this temporary like the NAV?

I noticed the same thing actually. However, I noticed today that a local dealer brought in a 2012 Roadster and it has the NAV package installed. So there's hope. I ordered my 2012 coupe with the nav package as well so hopefully there isn't too much of a delay

I think that's more permanent. Originally, you could get persimmon in White, Black, or Blue, and I heard that this year they stopped offering it in blue. I don't think they ever offered it for red, gm, or silver.

Well, what do the inserts in the door panels look like? I only really ogled the anniversary edition. Does the touring package still have the suede inserts? Are they just black and don't show up on Nissan's photos? I just think solid black interiors are a bit bland, but I certainly don't want a Grey interior.

They should definitely be suede door panels. I haven't seen a 2012 touring in person, but I have yet to see a touring Z without them.

Here is proof that Nissan used to have the good sense to put their camel colored interior in their gray car.

I wish I was not scared to own another black car, but I know Nissan's paint is on the softer side and I don't want a ton of swirls in 3 years. However, it might be worth it just to pay for a paint correction once or twice during the ownership of the car.
