Goodbye to 350Z, Hello 370Z. Check List Items?
Pulled the trigger on a Chicane Yellow Touring, 7sp AT, with Sport pkg, Nav....
Expecting delivery next few days as it's being transported from out of state dealer to local dealer. What are some of the Check List items when picking up the car? I do not know if the car was parked in a corner, never touched or if it sat in a showroom for hundreds of customers to play with. For one thing I need to verify iPod cable is in the glove compartment. What are some other things? Thx. T Last edited by tschangrx7; 05-10-2009 at 11:44 PM. |

Welcome to the club:
Both Fobs Fob Code Owner's manual with DVD Look for signs of leaks Look for any defects to paint Front plate installed (if you need it) Tire pressure is ok (often too full in new vehicles) Mats (if you paid for em) Check the function of everything you can, lights, blinkers, radio, seats, mirrors, (everything else power) Verify VIN on car matches paperwork EDIT: Check out this website, pretty lengthy checklist: http://www.e46fanatics.com/faq/checklist.html Last edited by frost; 05-10-2009 at 11:17 PM. |

* They DO NOT put wheel locks on the rims. They will most likely put on 350Z rim locks which are wrong part. * Try to install the front license plate yourself. Dealers will drill a hole through your front bumper. good luck

Check the Mileage at Delivery - No Joyrides
I would check the mileage on the car at delivery. Just to make sure that no one took a joy ride. Not really sure what the consensus is on the appropriate mileage. I would assume less than 25 miles, or maybe even less.

But I do think 25 miles is a good number. |

Cool! You know after having my 370z for almost 2 weeks now..i look at the 350z and it seems outdated. I never thought id see that, but i did have my 350z for about 5 years.

Apparently Nissan didn't have the correct ones at launch, and didn't mention the incompatibility to dealers, and a lot of dealers installed the 350 ones onto 370s that they sold. Apparently even after doing it several times, it didn't dawn on them that there was a big difference in shape between the 350 lock nut they just put on and the 370 regular nut they just took off And yes, Nissan does have the correct ones now, although your dealer may not have them in stock. Check out that thread for more info. |
