Default 2012 Pricing Released!!!

Looks like Nissan released pricing for the 2012 models today...

Nissan and Infiniti - Nissan Announces U.S. Pricing for 2012 370Z Coupe, 370Z Roadster and NISMO 370Z

Oil Coolers are standard now!!!

An oil cooler has been added for the 2012 model year as standard equipment.

Available technology features include the advanced Nissan Hard Drive Navigation System with 7-inch VGA touch-sensitive display, USB connectivity and iPod connection, XM NavTraffic with Real-Time Traffic Information and XM NavWeather™ (XM subscription required, sold separately), RearView Monitor, Bluetooth? Hands-free Phone System and standard Nissan Intelligent Key®.

Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices* (MSRP) for the 2012 Nissan 370Z Coupe include:

370Z Coupe 6MT $31,450 USD
370Z Coupe 7AT $32,750 USD
370Z Coupe Touring 6MT $36,150 USD

2012 Nissan 370Z Roadster
For 2012, the Nissan 370Z Roadster once again offers an unmatched balance of dynamic performance, sculptured styling, innovative technology and exceptional value – along with the exhilaration of pure open-air motoring. An oil cooler has been added for the 2012 model year as standard equipment. The previous 370Z Roadster base model with 6-speed manual transmission is no longer offered, leaving three choices: the 370Z Roaster with 7-speed automatic, and the 370Z Touring with 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic.

The Z Roadster shares its engine, transmissions, suspension, platform and most major components with the popular hardtop model. The list of cutting edge technology includes the standard 332-horsepower 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control (VVEL), choice of 7-speed automatic transmission or close-ratio 6-speed manual with available SynchroRev Match® (370Z Touring only), refined 4-wheel independent suspension, 4-wheel vented disc brakes (with available Nissan Sport Brakes) and lightweight yet rigid body structure.

The 370Z Roadster’s roof was designed to provide a sleek silhouette matching the Z?’s stunning styling with the top up or down, while offering an easy, single-action open-close operation. The top also provides an enjoyable top-down experience with reduced wind turbulence and all-climate driver/passenger comfort.

Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices* (MSRP) for the 2012 Nissan 370Z Roadster include:

370Z Roadster 7AT $39,500 USD
370Z Roadster Touring 6MT $42,200 USD
370Z Roadster Touring 7AT $43,500 USD
2012 Nissan NISMO 370Z
The dynamic Nissan NISMO 370Z, a tuner-Z® enthusiast’s dream once again caps off the 2012 370Z lineup – offering 350 horsepower, racing-inspired exterior and interior styling, a specially tuned suspension and unique super-lightweight forged alloy wheels.

The NISMO 370Z’s 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine is matched with an exclusive H-configured exhaust system design, muffler tuning and optimized ECM (Engine Computer Module) control. Only one transmission is available, a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission with standard SynchroRev Match™, which allows rev-matched heel-toe-like downshifting.

The NISMO 370Z also features a refined 4-wheel independent suspension, NISMO-branded strut tower brace for enhanced body rigidity and a pair of performance dampers to manage road-input vibrations and help contribute to the NISMO 370Z’s high levels of stability and performance feel. The NISMO-tuned suspension includes special springs and stabilizer bars.

Unique 5-spoke 19-inch RAYS forged aluminum-alloy wheels are mounted with Yokohama ADVAN Sport Y-rated high performance tires. Nissan Sport Brakes and a Viscous Limited-Slip Differential (VLSD) are also standard on the NISMO 370Z.

The 2012 NISMO 370Z offers a number of functional and fully integrated aerodynamic body pieces, including an extended front nose, integrated chin spoiler, special side sills, a unique rear bumper and functional rear spoiler. The interior includes NISMO logo seats with black and red fabric and red stitching, a NISMO tachometer, steering wheel with smooth leather and red parallel stitching, smooth leather wrapped shift knob and aluminum trimmed pedals. A serialized plaque of authenticity is matched to each NISMO Z®, identifying its unique serial and model year designation.

The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price* (MSRP) for the 2012 Nissan NISMO 370Z is:

370Z Coupe NISMO 6MT $40,830 USD

I wonder if the oil cooler is any good, and if I can get it easily retrofitted to an '11 model at the dealer with full factory warranty...

I think everyone should bombard Nissan with questions/demands to retrofit all prior 2012 model year 370Z's with the new oild cooler. I just sent them a email and comment to the fact.

Sweet...I get an oil cooler.
$800 is about a 2% increase so not as bad as I was thinking (3%)...and I get the oil cooler.

isn't the pricing the same? I'm on the Nissan website now and the MSRP for a 2011 base is 31,450, same as what's for the 2012..unless I'm missing something?

What email address did you send it to?

I will send them one, too. Not that it will do any good. If I could somehow convince them that it was going to cost them a couple of million dollars to not do it maybe, but otherwise...

Nice info about the oil cooler. I want pictures.

And may I add let's have no more bitching about no oil cooler from owners and journalists.

I just went to the Nissan USA website and went to the "contact " section. You can send them a email from there. My email basically said that I see the 2012 now comes with a oil cooler and that must confirm the fact that the car needs a cooler. Would they do the right thing and issue a recall to retrofit all 370z's with coolers. Maybe if enough people write in, they would get the point and cave.

Done. I didn't ask for free but I strongly urged that they make a retrofit available at a reasonable price.

Chances are though the stock unit will be a POS that won't do anything anyway, so before I hold my breath or even paid to have one installed I'll see what the car mags have to say about the 2012.

Davey, I did the same thing. I asked Nissan if they were not going to do the right thing and retrofit cars with coolers, if I decided to put a cooler on myself, would they void my warranty. That is my fear, I would have installed one myself by now but get the feeling if anything happened to the car with the new VVEL valvetrain, they would void the warranty due to a cooler and slip out of having to fix it on their dime. I see the dealer saying something like "you have a valvetrain issue but due to oil starvation from the oil cooler YOU installed, no warranty".
