what can I expect to pay on a lease

looking to pick up a manual touring edition with sport package. I will probably drive 15k miles per year

I have a good credit score (greater than 760, below 800). I would like to pay between 600-700 a month.

What should I expect?

edit: btw I am looking to lease for a 3 year period

leasing the Z is not a really good idea because they residual values and money factors are horrible - your better off purchasing imo

Thanks for the input, however given my specific situation I think leasing would be best for me. Right now I just want a nice car I can lightly mod and enjoy for the next 3 years while keeping my payments low. I tend to get bored with cars fairly quickly so I will most likely want something else 3 years from now. I am not really concerned about residual value or anything tbh.

I looked at leasing my Z because I had done so with my S2000 but the payments were hardly any lower on the Z that what I was able to buy it for at 2.9%. As stated above, the Z is not the best car to lease. You would be able to lease a G37S at a lower payment than a Z so you might want to look into that option.

Expect to lease about low 500's for a 370z.. for a 6mt coupe which is loaded with navigation, 19" wheels that leases in the mid 400's

I would think about $700/month for a $0 down on a lease.

That's what I pay for a 2011 6MT Sport/Touring incl. tax license etc. 39 months, residual $21,000, 12,000 miles/year

that sounds really good. How much did you put down if you don't mind me asking?

$5000...sorry should have mentioned that. Lease payment is $508/month.

Rui Z 09-15-2011 12:37 AM

^and that's for 12,000 miles. So it will be about $700/month for 0 down, 15,000 miles/year. Expect to pay about $25,000 total over 3 years. In other words, just buy the car ($39,000 otd) and sell it in 3 years for $24,000. You'll save like $10,000. If u finance it, then it will be more like $5,000 only. Either way it's cheaper.

Zombie thread...

As mentioned above, my residual payment is $21,000. Market resale on that car, which now has 16,000 miles, is about $26,000. I could buy it, re-sell it and make up the $5000 noted above.

As it is, I'm re-leasing. I'm 6 payments from being done, but Nissan has a lease pull-ahead program where they waive the last three lease payments, provide a $500 cash bonus, waive $500 wear and tear. My dealer wants my Z, however. He plans to buy it for the residual, make three additional payments, then re-sell it as we move into Z season.

I elected to go with Pearl White this time. 6MT Touring with Sport and Nav. Looks like a nice car. Big fly in the ointment is the 6-inch blizzard we had two days ago here in Minnesota. Roads are snow-packed and icy. Looks like it's going to be tough sledding to the dealer and back on Wednesday.
