Angry Such Bad Luck!!

Sorry to vent but here goes:

So I finally found out that my Z is going to be on North American soil tomorrow after waiting since March.....and now they tell me that the workers on the port are on strike and so the car will have to be re-routed through the states before it gets to me. That means another 2-3 weeks wait!

Also, although my Stillen parts have been delivered, my s-tune front end still has not arrived and it was ordered about 3 weeks ago. I requested that it be ordered from the US from a place that has them in stock instead of ordering directly from Japan out of fear of a back order. Now I think the place that it was ordered from in the US had a back order too!! I am just praying that they didn't order the part from Japan! worst luck!

If the part was ordered from Japan, does anyone know how long it takes for Nismo to deliver?

Ya the reason for that is because although i ordered it in March, there was no allocation for march or april due to the Japan crisis. So Nissan didn't process my order until May, which means that our orders were placed at around the same time.

True! but since I've been waiting for over 4 months now, that special feeling is not going to become even more special with time at this point lol

I tried. I can't imagine what you're going through. I couldn't sleep the night before I got to drive mine home... then again, I wasn't driving a G37 before I got my Z. That's gotta make the wait a little bit easier!

It gives you more time to order more parts.

it took 2 mos. for my S-tune kit to arrive from japan, but the tsunami caused the delay.

does your guys' shipping go through a different port than ours does down here? just curious cause i thought all the shipments from Nissan came through the port here in los angeles and wasnt aware of any shipping strikes in the news here recently.

Yup I'm pretty sure ours go through BC somewhere. Could be Vancouver. Then the cars get railed accross the country to the east coast.

Hopefully this is not the case. Do you think they have since recovered from the tsunami issues? I'm just hoping that the part wasn't ordered from Japan and that it was in stock somewhere in the US.
