Default 09 manual Z34 touring + sport, low miles

OK, I'm pretty serious about this one, what do you think it's worth - keep in mind this is a dealer purchase and not private sale. Basically it has all the options I want and even my favorite color but the price is going to be the make-or-break factor of this deal.

09 6MT
4600 miles
One owner, clean carfax, clean title
Sport package
Coupe Touring package. Chicane Yellow with black leather interior
No navigation
Condition looks very good to excellent, with a small rip in the leather on drivers seat on the side where you enter.
Certified pre-owned.
Comes with dealer nationwide lifetime powertrain/engine warranty (not sure if that is even worth anything or just a "dealer incentive" to raise the price)
KBB private sale value is $35,675. NADA clean retail price is $34,200, NADA average trade-in is $28,850.

The dealer was originally offering 32.9 which is obviously high. I got him down to 31.3 over the phone and he gave me the "absolute lowest price, not a dollar lower" schtick at that point, but I think I can get him lower.

What do you guys think I should offer and/or be happy with? I was thinking of offering 29 or 30 but that's a pretty big discount and I'm not sure he'll go for that. Thoughts?

I guess I am lucky to buy my car for $1250 below invoice in 2009. It sounds extremely expensive for a used car.

My exhaustive internet search (on multiple websites) of every car in the US that fits the above criteria (09 manual, touring, sport package, etc.) comes up with basically nothing under 32,000 (sticker). I don't know if it's just the state of the used market or the time in the season but I have NO bargaining power based on other vehicles for sale because this is actually the best deal I can find on a vehicle with the these specs.

According to info on this site, the invoice for this exact car would have been $35273 in 2009. Assuming I could have gotten 1000 off invoice in 2009, that means this deal would only be saving 2973 for essentially 2 years and almost 5000 miles on the car. Definitely doesn't seem like a good deal at all at 31.3 but that's why I'm trying to see what you guys think I should offer.

When I bought my car, I helped a fellow on the forum buying one out of state. It was a touring with sport, I think he got it for 32-34K. I bought the same car with no touring for i think 28900 or something.

The used car market is forked. My Prius is worth $1K more than what I paid with 45K miles on it. I had paid sticker for it at the time!!!

Wow, that's insane! Maybe this actually is an ok deal then. So what should be my "low bid" amount that I throw out? It needs to be low enough so we have room to compromise and I can still get a good deal, but high enough not to offend the dealer.

I'm trying to negotiate so i threw out 30.5. He said that's 300 less than they got for trade in and he just can't do it. It seems like 31.3 is the lowest he will go. Not sure what to do, it's the exact car I want and the last one ill probably find until next year.

An I'm still here.

I paid $32.5 for it. Touring/sport 09 MT non nav bought in April 10. I think the market has changed a bit since last year.

The yellow may be part of the reason for the slightly higher price too. It was only available in 09 and they didn't make many.

Bottom line, if it's the car you want and you can afford it, go for it.
