2011 6MT w/ Sport - I'm CLOSE, what do I do??

Brand new 2011 6MT w/ Sport Package and all the floor mat / sill goodness..

After talking to the dealer last month and not being able to get the deal I wanted, he called back yesterday saying "$1,000 under invoice" which comes out to...

$32,134

Do I do it? This dealer has had 2 2011 370's on the lot for some time now.. I'm thinking I can get him even lower... But if this is a GOOD price, hell, what's another $500?

Thoughts? Thanks!

I'd pull the trigger on a car I really wanted especially with limited stock. $500 would not be worth me walking away from a 30K plus car. Good luck...

I guess I'm just torn between this car and a 135i, which I've wanted for a long time...

They are different animals (with very different price points) lol

Just want to be sure that if I go with my '2nd choice' or by 'tied for 1st choice' that I"m getting a great deal!

So it's not really about the price point, it's really about deciding what car you want. Yep, you definitely have to sort that out first. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I have 2011 Z and friend has 2010 135i. Both have ridiculous power. Both great cars, even though I'm not a BMW fan.

Z turns heads, 135 has back seats. Dont kid yourself by saying the 135i seats are worthless, cause I'd much rather ride in the back of a 135 than a Z.

If going 135, do european delivery, and performance delivery in SC.

poorazn, hope you're still paying attention to this thread...

Since you have experience with both cars, if you had to do it all over, would you still buy the 370!?

I'd use the uncertainty of which car you want to your advantage. Tell them that if they make the deal sweet enough that it will remove any doubt from your mind.

You can prolly get the car for ~ 31500-31750. Just tell them you buy NOW if they will sell at 31500.

Plus dealerships know they have other sources of making $ off of buyers such as maintenance and warranty. Doesn't really hurt them much selling to u near 0 profit up front.

Also aside from the 2% hold back, there may be other incentives where they will still be making profit from.

But aside from all that, last time I spoke to a sales person they said they were able to do 31500 before ttl. It would not be possible unless they had the car at their dealership, as in not a Z that they swapped w/ another dealer because I didn't like the colors they had.

I just got my Z in May. I love it. I wanted a sports car (we have a corolla for other stuff that requires carrying passengers)

The Z is louder in my opinion. Its more what I think a sports car looks like and sounds like.

People turn to look at Zs cause they are beautiful. I'm not sure many are impressed with 135s and 335s around my area, since they are a dime a dozen. BUT girls think BMW = $$$$$ You sure do get the gold diggers.

I had a similar decision to make when I was buying my z. I was deciding between the 335i and Z (completely different but loved both). Like someone said before after talking to the dealer and negotiating some things to get any doubt I had with going with either of the cars, Nissan was able to make it happen. They said they would match an additional 3 yr included warrantee similar to BMWs to take that difference off the plate and they gave me my asking price plus another 500 dollar rebate so I walked away with a sports 6mt, splash gaurds, 3yr warrantee (the additional one obviously), mats, for 31,000 plus tax.

Try to play the warrantee card. You should be able to get 31,500 depending on the area you live in.
