Planning to Purchase - Advice?
Hey all,
First off, I'm very interested in purchasing the 370Z ASAP, but I want to make sure I dot all my t's and cross all my i's. I'm not going to rush into it. Any suggestions for which is a better option, NISMO or Coupe Touring + spt pkg? For a first-time sports car owner? I'm planning on using it as my everyday ride for a while at least, mostly highway in Houston. I've heard that the NISMO may ride a little rough for some, but haven't had an opportunity to test drive one myself. I also work for a company that participates in the VPP, so I was wondering if anyone has successfully negotiated to below Invoice without the VPP? Should I take the Invoice price if it is on the table? Also, what's the best warranty I can expect? Does it vary a lot, dealer to dealer? Any advice would be most appreciated Thanks, J |

For a daily driver I would recommend the Touring + sport. You can match the Nismo in performance with a few upgrades. Just my .02 though.
As far as warranty goes, take some time and read around the forums. Here is the warranty booklet for the car: http://www.the370z.com/images/370zfo..._Coupe_WIB.pdf There is also a section of the forum dedicated to warranty/service repairs/ etc. Good Luck! |

Yea I agree. having bought the Nismo, in Houston I get alot of road-noise due to the cement highways and the audio system could be much better, But I LOVE the power and the headturns!

How about for a 2011 Touring w/ Nav?
Or a 2010 Touring w/ Nav? All the posts I've read includes Sports and Nav but I'm just interested in getting the Touring with Nav. I'm in Southern California btw. I'm assuming I Just mark off 3k from what people paid for 2011 Touring/SP/Nav??? Thanks. |

Do you want the 7AT or the 6MT? The sports package provides the SRM with the MT and unless you are planning some fairly substantial mods, is a good deal for what else is included even on the AT.
I would definitely recommend touring + sports

Definitely 6MT.
I do like the SRM but I'm still trying to figure out if the SP + Nav package is really worth it for me. If the Nav isn't necessary, then I might just go with the base model with SP. |

Base + Sport is definitely easier on the wallet than Touring + Sport + Nav, but its up to you on whether or not you want integrated nav or you can just deal with getting an external gps or a double din unit. Also, do you care about leather seats? That only comes in the touring model, so if that is what you like then you should just get a Touring + Sport.

According to Nissan, you not only have to spend $2150 for the Nav, but since it's only available on the Touring model you also have to spend the extra money for that. Therefore, depending on the deal you can work, Nav will cost ~$5000 more than the base model. I also have the Sport package and I think that is definitely money well-spent.
There are several components to the Nav package that may or may not make it worth $2150 to you. Obviously, there's navigation, but IMHO that function is performed as well or better with an iPhone or 3G iPad and one of the navigation apps, most of which are free or a few $$. The other advantages are:
IMHO, as a package, it's probably worth the money. The rearview camera, streaming Bluetooth audio for iPod connection would be useful features. I have a Sport + Touring and appreciate both of those packages, but don't really miss the Nav package. The AUX iPad/iPhone/iPod input that is standard on the Touring Bose system works more than well enough for my music needs. I do like the rearview camera feature. It's very useful on my wife's Murano, and rear visibility is definitely impaired on the Z by comparison. I could spend the $750 and get it installed...but haven't done that yet. Don't do it! That way there will be less of them on the road, thus keeping mine a bit more rare.
