I myself was luckily able to have a dealer get a Z into production run of June for me, to be delivered in late July/early August. According to the dealer i went through though they had to pull a few strings at Nissan corporate to get my Z into the production run.
I've been lurking for a while, this is my first post.

My wife is ready to replace her 2003 G35 Coupe. We drove a Porsche Boxster, BMW 135i, BMW Z4, BMW 335is, Infiniti G37S and finally, the 370Z roadster. She loves the Z.

I placed an order with a dealer on May 6th and what they told me sounds exactly like what you posted. We're also hoping for a late July/early August delivery. Do you mind me asking when your order was placed? The wait is driving her nuts.

It's good if you're lazy (like me ). If you know how to drive manual and can heel toe just fine then you can turn it off. All the other goodies included with the sport package make it a good bargain overall. So I'd hold out for the sport package! ... oh wait. I did.

Also, another question, how long is this "generation" going to last? I like buying cars that are mid into their cycle not at the end, as you can enjoy the looks of it being "the newest Z out there" for a while.

Your guess is as good as any, I would think at least through 2013.
You can always modify the car and change the look with new front/rear bodykits.

I take comfort in knowing come August my Z will be the only one in the GTA with a Fujimura Front / UAM Fenders / Zele or UAM rear.

sorry for the late response Gromit, but funny thing is i ordered my Z right at the end of April going into May, so i imagine with your order date of May 6th it should be on the same production run as my Z. Guess that means i have another production line sibling out there lol.

Thanks. Good timing on your update. I received a call from the dealer yesterday. My wife's Z was built on 6/7, will be in Jacksonville the third week of July and is expected at the dealership (Atlanta area) by 7/29.

Give your dealer a call and see if they have an update. Good luck!
