2012 z

I got a call from my dealer today that they are beginning to take orders for the 2012s. He should be calling me back tomorrow with the specifics. Anyone know what to expect? Any new colors or change to the body or under the hood?

Nissanboy 06-03-2011 06:12 PM

No idea but very curious!

zero 06-03-2011 06:18 PM

It's probably no changes from 2011. Maybe the change in MSRP.

ichris14 06-05-2011 09:35 PM

Can you update us with those specs? thanks!

Becca 06-06-2011 04:59 AM

The moment I get them! I'm waiting for the dealer to call me back with the info. All i know so far is the persimmon interior is still available.

ichris14 06-11-2011 11:43 AM

nvm

Becca 06-11-2011 08:20 PM

I heard from them again- said the car had no changes, with the exception there might be different color combinations available, but the same colors as previous years.

ichris14 06-12-2011 09:40 AM

like interior and exterior color combinations?

What does this mean? Is there a difference between 2012 manual transmission and previous roadsters? According to the above list, the manual is still offered. I don't get it...

Becca 06-14-2011 06:37 AM

Thank you! Any changes to colors? Any chance the yellow is back? I had heard different combinations, but the same colors.

From what I read is the manual may only be an option on the touring. - don't quote me on that...lol

That just makes no sense to me if true.

no way this is true. nissan wants to sell more not less

Isamu 06-14-2011 01:07 PM

that does seem kind of silly

FuszNissan 06-14-2011 01:54 PM

Like I said don't quote me....

Maybe they changed the 6spd ??

Ok, I won't quote you.

Still, this is disheartening.

Most car companies are starting to abandon the stick. :shakes head: It makes me sad. Little by little, one day we'll all be driving autos.

maybe that means that all non-Sport models will be automatic and you have to get the Sport pkg in order to get the 6 spd manual.

OR

current base and touring models (non-Sport) with manual transmission, do they have the SRM system or not? maybe if they don't, they are only offering the 6 spd with SRM, Sport pkg or not...

MattP725 06-14-2011 03:02 PM

It doesn't say sport, it says touring... so base models with the sport package still won't get a 6 spd. Not sure what the rational is here TBO.

The current roadster models are roadster, roadster touring, roadster touring with sports package. I couldn't even get the roadster base with sports package when I bought my car. :shakes head: I don't get the rationale behind why this is. Is it because Nissan thinks roadster buyers are able to spend the extra $6k if they want the sports package?

Could be worse. In Canada and a few other countries, you can't buy a "base 370z". Such a beast doesn't exist in those regions.
