Possible sales tax fraud

I initiated an out of state purchase of a new 370z in Maryland from Louisiana on 2/21/2011. On 4/8/2011 the purchase was completed with a hand delivered cashiers check for the remaining balance. Jones Junction Nissan in Bel Air, MD collected all applicable tax, title and fees for the state of Louisiana at that time. After nearly a month they have not paid or registered the car in Louisiana as promised. There also seems to be a problem with them accepting or returning phone calls as well. I would appreciate any advice or help with my next step in this matter. Thanks

A stern to the point letter suggesting they be reported to the IRS should get your point across.

Get the money for your TTL back and register the car yourself.

I think the first order of business is trying to speak with an actual person. Are you calling a specific salesperson or the receptionists desk? I'd start with the receptionist and have her forward you to the appropriate person.

I work very close to Bel Air, MD. I could swing by and I'm sure I'd get a salesman to jump on my back within seconds...

I appreciate the offer. I'll give it another day of phone calls and what happens.
