^ Worth the read. The whole situation felt like a damn 1 hour movie at least.

wow, was a good read. i had heard a few parts of it but never the entire thing laid out in what i could call an "official" release.

All you need is an undercover cop going bad and you have the next Fast and Furious plot!

Congrats on your ride Anarky, ran across a post somewhere and saw that you were getting one in Arizona, Same car I want lol, 10 or 11...what was the price before TTL? if you don't mind..and also, you paid TT in Arizona right? so they give you some kind of paper that allows you to register here? is that correct?

True, SoCal, good points, I am curious what they would retail for in Japan before taking all the other steps to have it state certified ect, My plan is getting one down the road towards the end of the year

The price before ttl was 32,456. I paid all the TTL in Arizona. They are a recipricating state to Utah so I paid the 6.85% tax there and yes I got all the paper work to register it here. Went to the DMV and had no problems.

Good luck and hope you find the Z you want

BS

if he meant he is buying a japanese GTR ...they are more expensive in japan than here... the same premium model that costs 91-92K here...costs the equivalent of about 115K dollars in japan... roughly 9.5 million yen

one of the reasons for the increase of the price on the new GTR besides the performance improvements was nissan trying to bring it more inline with what it costs in other markets... when the car first launched in japan in 07 and here in 08.. it was priced similar... by japans next model year the cost of the JDM market one skyrocketed and ours saw only a modest increase in relation to theirs... ours has been creeping up ever since and is roughly 20K more now than when it was first offered 3 years ago...

if he meant he is buying a USDM GTR...... you cant cut the dealers out and buy straight from japan.. to use your 91K GTR as an example the dealer buys it from nissan for about 82K (3% under invoice) vs the MSRP of 91K...so that figure of 74K is almost 10K less than what its wholesale is

Also the Japan car models are tuned for higher octane than what is offered here in the U.S., or so I heard
