Mine was ordered Feb 1 and is due the last week in May. Be patient but I agree they should have never guaranteed anything that is completely out of their control and should alway respond to your inquiries. I am not counting the days to delivery, but how may salesman get laid off before my delivery. I am now on my third salesman and the GM calls every now and then to check in. Desperate time calls for desperate measures.

I ordered mine February 7th and was told it will take about 10 weeks (end of April). They said it takes 45 days after your order to get a VIN and build date. With Nissan slowing production, I'm sure mine will come in around the end of May now. Ordering a Stillen Catback and Stillen G3 CAI to keep me busy for when it comes in. More time to break in my new Titleists and decide if I'm taking my Z west or south for my roadtrip. Good luck bro!

Z on Order
Because of this thread I called my dealer yesterday to confirm that mine was still on schedule. It was ordered April 3rd and is scheduled to arrive mid June. They did have an allocation for a car so I am not sure if that helped things. I ordered it in PG with the Perm interior and fully loaded. My dealer did say that he had two other dealers already call and try to buy the car from him. Considering it is still snowing here in Reno I don't mind the two month wait.

They did not have the vin# yet but he said that he was looking at the order and the delivery status was still 6/09. He had not heard anything about production being delayed. I have a personal relationship with this sales manager so I don't think he was BS'ing me. But who knows. If the car shows up in June we know there was no delay.

No updates yet. I was told sometime in June. I received an order sheet when it was placed with order number and ETA said: June 09. Not sure if that is something the dealer typed in or that came from Nissan... I hope mine doesn't get pushed back. |

Well, I checked in with my salesman for what it's worth and he said the order went through fine and to expect the car the first week of June (ordered 4/3). Keeping fingers crossed!

Gave my dealer a down payment of 2k on 1/17 with the discussion for the car to be delivered late March or early April. On March 8, I got a confirmation call that the proper configuration was to be built that I had ordered. On Friday 4/17 my dealer let me know that he has a VIN# and the car is "on the water" to the US. He said it takes one and a half to two weeks to clear port and then is loaded on truck to the dealer. He thought I would get mine around the middle to late May. A little later than I wanted, but I guess not bad considering economic situation and Nissan cutbacks. Needless to say, I have been sitting on pins and needles and am getting pretty excited. Maybe I'm getting more for my money this way with the slow build up to receiving it.

Purchase Order
Got a purchase order with mine stating everything including all costs. But NO promised delivery date. There was a statement that the cost could be increased if NISSAN had a quarterly model increase.

Probably just another salesman tactic to do/say anything they think you want to hear to get the sale. Personally Im not too familiar of how the special ordering works but Im willing to guess it is pretty much out of the dealerships control, in which case they should not be making promises to you they "hope" come to fruition.
